Theres this Filter/checking thing, on another forum I go to.

Its purpose is to make sure people don't post the same threads.

Which I do often without realizing it.

So as you click post to post your thread.

I assume it searches through the recent threads that have been posted and if there are any names/words similar. It shows them to you before you post. Asking you if yours isn't the same as theres.

I thought maybe this could help?

I provided some images as to see.

First is me posting a new thread

Second is me after clicking the post button.

We have a Search Bar for a reason. Just use the Search bar its very easy to use.

They don't work very well. As you can see, on this other forum, you typed in "spam spam spam". I doubt the other threads that showed up had anything to do with that. Sure, they all have to do with SC2 Gameplay, but that's the equivalent of our forum suggesting other threads with Kingdom Hearts gameplay. Even though these features can point out threads with similar keywords, they are not effective in matching your question to the same question being asked before, due to differences in sentence structure, etc. So in short, I don't think they work very well.

I agree with DChiuch, the same thread could be posted with the same question as another thread, but could be worded somewhat or extremely differently that the previous thread. Proving this filter thingy, useless to this forum.
