I stood in front of the large, freaky-looking castle that stood before my eyes. My arms were crossed on my chest, and I examined the slash marks on the large doors. I chuckled a bit at the thoughts of feirce battles against my enemy, but frowned almost instantly. I walked up to the large doors and lightly touched the deep scratches and dents. Soon, this castle will be torn down, and the scorched area around it will re-grow and all memories will be tucked away of this place. It will be forgotten, no stories passed down to children of the next generation. This place will be gone, but I will never forget the pain and suffering I went through. I almost wanted to rebuild the evil deeds done by him, but I couldn't take it upon myself to do so. I sighed, nearly regretting bringing justice to the forest that needed it so badly. I lowered my white, wolf-like ears at the thought. No one, friends, family, kids, will ever know what had happened. Well, at least not the alive ones. Those that died will always remind me of what happened. The tragedies, the heart-stopping fears of him. The happiness, the joy that came at the end of each victorious battle. The protectiveness, the friendship, the love. Each feeling, each and every one, will be forgotten by the feeling, scarred in the minds of the dead. Unlike the rest, I couldn't bear the tragedies leading up to this. I should be happy, heck, I should be jumping around in joy. I had defeated him, I had won the hardest battle in my life, one that took so many years to end... But yet, something felt wrong. Missing. Another sigh escaped me as I turned away from the large building. I walked into the clearing that held more happiness. I braved my katana and held the blade up to my face. My reflection shown in the well-cleaned, sharpened blade. Sorrow filled my eyes as I noticed that I may never need to use this blade. I put it down, positioning it on the ground next to me as I lay down. I put my hands behind my head as I looked up at the sky. A smile spread across my face, and I closed my eyes. At least I could rest now.
