Why Life Gets Me Pissed Sometimes, and Other Stories: A Rant

Posted

1

Things get crappy sometimes, you know?

You think everything's finally cool, smooth sailing, then WHAM: Crap factor 2,000.

Like now: I've studied at my local community college for my G.E.D for a year and a half now. The other day, returning to the school to re-enroll after a bad sinus infection kept me down for a week, I'm told my test expired in Feb, and has to be done, as well as oreientation.

WHAT THE FIRETRUCKING FRICK?!?

And no one bothered to tell me this WHY????

The fact that the receptionist SMILED when she informed me of this just kinda seemed to be the school system spitting in my face.

I've worked hard for my G.E.D: When I didn't feel like it, I went to class anyway, When I had a headache, I stayed another hour regardless.

So WHY are they screwing me over like this?

Fool. Bad things happen all the time. The choice to stay on your ass or stand up is entirely up to you. I prefer standing. Nothing is easy, and nothing gets easier.

Does'nt this thread belong in the Personal section?

The fact that I studied for a year seems to mean nothing: the school's determined to have their way, come Hell or high water.

You either march ahead with progress and near cruel rule making, or get smushed under the boots of the creature known as

ADULT SCHOOL.
