"THIS IS IT FOLKS!!" The short, plump announcer declared. "THE IG-I IS FINALLY UNDER WAY! TODAY WE HAVE RISING STAR BLAKE BLAZER FACING OFF AGAINST IG-I VETERAN FERRO ALSTRAD, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS BINARY. THE RACE IS JUST ABOUT TO START FOLKS!! I CAN BARELY WAIT MYSELF!!"

 

Inside his mech, Blake rolled his eyes. "You ready, old man?" He asked his opponent.

 

(Other racers are gathered in the Lounge Area at the stadium, they have a clear view of the race where they can scout out their competition, be they on the course or with them in the lounge. I recommend socializing while Natron and I are racing)

Waldo sat confused as Kamui walked away. [He doesn't eat Doritos? How can anyone not eat Doritos?] he thought to himself. As he was exiting the station he spotted Ferro walking by, so he called out to him.

 

"Hey, nice job today." Waldo said, "I havn't seen many racers fight as hard as you guys had in IG-I before."

Ferro turned to the man talking to him. "Well, thanks. I've been doing this awhile now. I'm Ferro, but you probably already knew that." Ferro held out his hand to shake. "And you are. . ."

"I'm Waldo, a midfeilder racer like you. " Waldo said, shaking Ferro's hand. "I'm a fairly new racer, so it makes sence you don't know me. I was impressed by how you used your mech's own arm as a weapon like that. I might try something like that some time." 

"Well, I look forward to seeing your skills." Perhaps this one won't be a complete amateur. Ferro fished a Dorito out of the bag Waldo was holding and walked into the lounge.

(That at least helped my little kitten. Squire, you can socialize in the lounge or something. The race starts when the next page does. Neko, Aitch, feel free to trash talk each other a bit or check over your mech's from the inside until things kick off)

Chiko's mech has been ready for a while. She faced Weston and smirked.

"Sooo you are a forward too? That's pretty interesting. Nobody is faster then me though~" she said with the slightest bit of darkness in her voice.

Ferro leaned back in a lounge chair overlooking the course. A forward race; he had seen many. There would be less fighting and more racing with this one. Ferro considered if he should have gone into forward racing, not for the first time. He took a sip of his draft root beer.
