So.... There's this game that I really LOVE, but got unbanned for 12 months...

Just like it. I was hanging out wtih friends, doing crazy stuff on a empty place and got banned fro a whole year with no previous warning or second-chance given. Even people who bully others get banned for a week, only. -.-

So, I wanna change my IP adress in order to play it again. I saw a video showing how to but I'm a "little scared" of what is gonna happen.

This is the video that I saw.

I'm jsut afraid of screwing up my internet and sites that I'm in....

Apparently switching off your modem for a long time would do the trick.  Most service providers doll out dynamic IP addresses meaning that if it's off it'll give you a new one when you turn it on.  Though I've looked this up and people have said it could take anywhere between a few minutes and an hour.

You mean the rooter? Sorry, can't do that. My dad wouldn't like that xD And if you really mean the roother and stuff, it was once turneed off for hours because the INternet company and stuff was shuting everythign down for a test.

A router is a device that allows multiple devices to join the same network, a modem actually provides access to the internet (though I guess you wouldn't really have one without the other).  Can you turn it off over night while you're all sleeping?  Like if 8 hours don't do the trick I take it it won't work and you must have a static IP address, in that case you can contact your service provider and ask them to change it.  Or use a proxy to mask your IP with a different IP address.

I use Tor or Private Tunnel.

Its nit hard changing your ip i used to do iucall the tim for the same eason alol back whn my computer worked. Itwont harm yohr compute at all.

Call your internet service provider and see what they can do for you. Changing your IP on your own is difficult and depending on where you are and how you go about it, can be illegal.

Also, I highly doubt that you were "just hanging out with friends" and got banned for a year. You either did something you were already warned not to do or simply did something so despicable you were given the one year ban instantly. Not only that, but you not only had your account ban, but your IP banned as well, you really have to screw up to get that to happen. If you really feel that you didn't deserve to be banned, talk to a moderator or whatever for the game you are playing before going to your internet service provider to evade the ban.

If the moderator doesn't budge (and they rarely do, so don't get your hopes up) just deal with it. You did something wrong, now suffer the consequences.
