Nuzlocke: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nuzlocke_Challenge

Zunlocke:

Pokemon can die, but you can catch as many Pokemon in a route as you can.

HOWEVER, if you have some in a PC box, you cannot bring them out. Even if all the Pokemon in your team die.

Exceptions:

Only 10 possible catchable pokemon during a run. If you catch over 10, then you have failed the challenge, and must restart, so...even though you can get as many as you want in one route, it's not a good idea to, since...you can only get 10 Pokemon in one run. Once over the limit, normal Nuzlocke rules occur.

Nuzekcol:

Only catch first pokemon in a route. If you knock it out, you can't get anymore in that route.

Pokemon in your team CANNOT DIE, so you must stick with the six Pokemon you have.

I understand these may be a bit confusing at first, but...

I chose Nuzekcol because locke is reversed, as Pokemon cannot die.

And I chose Zunlocke, since pretty much basic rules, other than being a bit more strict.

These are terrible ideas, I know...

I just thought that Nuzekcol makes it bit more easier.

I agree that "Nuzekcol" makes the challenge seem easier. I will consider trying it with my LeafGreen version.

By "cannot die", do you mean that the Pokémon can be used again if they faint?

Are there any rules against using Pokémon that one can buy, or that are given to a person?

Yes. That's what I meant.

If you have eligible space, in-game trades are allowed, but that's to your own accord.

Trades with human players are not allowed.

I might play a Nuzlocke variant involving only having 6 Pokemon but Wonder Traded. Could turn out well, or poorly. Should be fun.
