Great Animated Movie by the Japanese Director Makoto Shinkai whom many people regard as "The Next Miyazaki"

Ooooh, i just posted a review about this on tumblr the other day. Ill paste what i wrote-Just watched Garden of Words (that anime movie with all the beautiful art and such) and well, although the art, piano pieces and the animation was heart-wrenchingly beautiful, I could care less for the story.Yes it sounds romantic but eh…looking at it realistically it’s just “not” so romantic, y’know? Like imagine if every kid fell in love with their teachers, that uh. Yeah.Anyways besides me not liking the story, Taoka (is that his name?)’s shoe-making hobby being slightly too weird to the point of being unbelievable (but maybe that’s just me, dunno), the art, piano, and animation was gorgeous. Hell even the firetruckin sound effects were beautiful.But yeah. Would i recommend it well, it’a pretty to look at and it’s only like what, 45 minutes long? Yeah, I’d recommend seeing at least once. It’s nice to see but its the type of movie you wont cwtch me obsessing over/watch more than 5 times. Not nearly as “deep” as i thought it would be but, honestly everything else makes up for it. Sorta. If it didnt have such beautiful art and music i would tell you it’s the most boring thing in the world. Seriously. Ive watched awesome silent films that have entertained me more than this.BUT STILL. THE ART. THE PIANO. IT MAKES ME NOT WANT TO DISLIKE IT. UGHHHHH-PS, you can watch it here. I disagree with you on the story...I didn't think it was garbage at all...i thought it was good just simpler than im used too...but it's still nice...no bullshit just a straightforward story that doesn't make us feel stupid and makes us care about the characters

Only problem i have it's too short imo...while the runtime fits the movie i wish it had lasted longer
