*bbs spoiler*Snarl of Memories cutscene

Posted

so when i was watching the snarl of memories cutscene from 358/2 it sounds to me that at first when zexion is messing with roxas' memories it sounds like vens memories from bbs... am i crazy or is it really vens memories they are talking about at the first? -the line that gets me is that "your memories of home are gone", which ven doesn't remember his memories of home(bbs)-

No, it's pretty much a scene taken from Riku's story in Chain of Memories. Zexion's talking about how even though Riku traveled to the memories of other worlds, he would only encounter the dark beings.

That scene is not Roxas but Xion absorbing memories from Castle Oblivion. I think.

But no it has nothing to do with Ven.

Nope, they were Riku's memories from Castle Oblivion. I'm not really sure how Xion managed to get them though...

Zexion is talking about Riku's home in Destiny Islands which was in KHRECOM

I guess it could just be because Riku is connected to Sora and Kairi, which she is pretty much made of (sora's memories of kairi) so maybe she was getting memories from both. idk :S

One thing I don't understand about that is why Zexion. (Not that I'm complaining.) At that point in time, he was already murdered at C.O. Did they choose him as a physical representation in Roxas' brain because he can create illusions?

~OR~ What I was thinking before(putting in a spoiler to be safe):

Since Xion takes on the appearance of the viewer's relation to Sora, could it be that this was from Riku's point of view? Notice how it's the old Riku... the same Riku who went to C.O. Zexion was the first to tell him that Sora was in the castle, plus Zexion brought up his past with Sora. Is it possible that Riku from that time frame(since he'll see Xion as you-know-who later on) would see Xion as Zexion?

Now that I think about it, though, they probably just chose him since he likes to give people confusing headaches.

It's Zexion because that's who was in that scene in CoM. It's Snarl of MEMORIES. So its just Riku's memories, for some reason.

Exactly what I said. The only cutscenes that had Riku and Zexion was where Zexion brought up Riku's past. And just because the names sound alike doesn't mean they have particuarly any relation. CoM = A chain of memories linked together by Namine. SoM = The memories getting trapped inside of especially Roxas, are creating a snarl around him and seals in Xion's fate(as explained by Namine to Riku). And just Riku's memories doesn't seem to make sense. It's Sora's memories that are in question here, not Riku's. Roxas was remembering Sora's quest for Riku and running into the replica, I assume, by the presence of the CoM Riku.
