So for any Sherlock fans you would know what happened at the end of season 2. If you haven't seen it then go watch it and if you don't go watch it then this will contain spoilers.

A while ago one of my friends and I discussed what could've happened with Sherlock's fall. Naturally we all thought he was dead, but we also should've known that this is Sherlock and somehow he will survive. So here are the theories my friend and I came up with:

-Soft concrete was used

-He used a drug that stops your heart for a certain amount of time

Any other theories or anything you want to add on to these theories?

I thought you meant the original Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle here:

My bad. D:

Oh my gosh, I literally just finished watching this episode for the second time. Weird O_o

So I had looked on the internet, after my first time watching it way back when, and there is an explanation that makes perfect sense:

  • You saw him talk to Molly or whatever her name was beforehand. This implied that he was planning something.
  • Remember how Irene Adler was confirmed dead by Sherlock himself, but then turned out to be alive? Looks like he did the same thing.
  • He told Moriarty specifically where to meet him.
  • As Watson ran over, an open-topped truck rolled away a split second after Sherlock supposedly hit the ground.
  • So, from what I can tell, he fell into the truck, probably with something soft in it for a safe landing, and then rolled the fake body out to fake his own death.
