Here is a few steps on how to troll Baton passers and get rid of that nasty stat boosts.

1Have a Pokemon (for example: an Absol )with Focus sash and has Perish Song and Mean Look in it;s moveset

2Use Perish Song immediately after your opponent begins stat boosting, the Perish Song will go through the substitute(something that many Baton Passers don't know from what I've experienced) so don't worry

3the Perish Song will be carried to the opponent's next Pokemon when he uses the Baton Pass along the stat boosts

4your opponent will either Let his Pokemon die,or switch and waste all of the stat boosts, which will leave his upcoming Pokemon open for taking an extra hit before you start attacking again....but if you managed to knock out the Pokemon that your opponent mainly uses to pass stats boost or the one member in his team that will benefit your stat boosts....which will incredibly ease your way to victory.

5Be sure to have Sucker Punch or any fast attack that will guarantee a hit on your opponent so your Pokemon can survive

And before you ask me again,I'm 100% sure that Perish Song ignores the substitute,I've done it so many times and I'm sure of that

Do you know how satisfying it is to take down a Pokemon with massive stat boosts passed to it with just few steps??

I like the idea but there are some ways this can not work.

1) You need to predict. Honestly a lot of Pokémon could either go with stat boosting or become a juggernaut.

2) What if the opponent has a great defense? If you can barely hurt him/her, then they kill you with their boosted power, and then switch out and repeat the process when there is an opening. It can happen since...

Turn 1:

Absol uses Perish Song

-Opponent- uses stat boosts.

Perish Song falls to 3

Turn 2:

Absol attacks

-Opponent- survives because of Focus Sash and Baton Switches

Perish Song falls to 2

Turn 3:

Absol attacks

-Opponent- barely gets hurt and kills your Absol (or its the other way around if the opponent is faster and you are not using sucker punch)

Perish Song falls to 1

Absol faints

Turn 4:

-Opponent- Switches

Also you added Mean Look to his moveset...yet it isn't within the strategy.

Mean look is for the Pokemon that doesn't have a Baton Pass on it since he has six

Sucker Punch will be more effective when Absol has the Super Luck ability that boosts it's critical hit chances

And as you've noticed, this strategy only works on baton passing teams with the likes of Ninjasks,Smeargles and maybe Mews

But do you have any idea how satisfying it is to troll a Baton Passer to pass a Perish Song to the next Pokemon and lock that Pokemon with Mean Look ^_^

And even if he switches,he'll leave himself open for an attack or giving me a chance to switch and use my next strategy

It worked for me many times in my mono Dark team

Super Luck doesn't guarantee critical hit chances all the time, even with Sucker Punch you should be lucky enough to even get a critical hit with it.

And? No matter who is getting the stat boosts or who is doing it, the strategy will not necessarily work in that case.

Also if Mean Look does happen, he can happily kill 1 - 3 of your Pokémon without switching out.

And if he switches into someone who is a wall? Or he just predicts your move and switches to someone who is immune? Or he will obviously expect you to use Sucker Punch so he switches anyways since he wont be damaged?

It wont work in the case I presented to you.

Also if it worked for you then great but guess what? It wont necessarily work all the time.

I never said it'll work all the time

I'm just saying...have at least one Pokemon that can troll a Baton Passer

it might not work all the time, but when it does it is satisfying

Yes it might not work at all sometimes but at least it's something you gotta have to at least save yourself from a boosted Mega Mewtwo Y sweep in Uber someitmes

Roar.I'm think my job is done.

Or Whirlwind, or Dragon Tail, correct?

Yup.

I love using my Milotic for phazing with Dragon Tail. Although not always reliable if they carry sub. >_< At least she can't be taunted.

Yeah but it's much more satisfying to confuse the hell outta your opponent and force him into choices that might cripple the rest of his team

I can never get enough of seeing a Pokemon with all those stat boosts getting either KOed by a Perish Song or switch to a Pokemon that will take more damage
