Lol,i think the repayment of Ash's immortality was to lose at the League,i think...

If only Ho-oh was real, then everytime I thought, i'd think about riku, nothing painful, nor would i care, ONLY RIKU MATTERS.

Then explain how Did Pikachu manage to defeat a ground type Golem in the opening of the first movie,Brock's freakin Onyx,which defies all rules in Pokemon,but he can't defeat that wittle Snivy.......of course!!

That's because Pikachu's level was higher than Onix and Golem during that time and the reason why Snivy can beat him because of what you said,Pikachu's electric power was nullified,and Pikachu needs it in every battle,that's what Electric Pokemon do.For example,look at Magikarp,he doesn't have much offensive Water moves,only splash he has.Besides,Pokemon needs more offensive moves in battle rather than side-effects moves...
