The Tardis spun through the Time/Space Vortex as the Doctor slumped against the control console. He hadn't expected Judoon to try to blow up the ship after he had proved that their target wasn't on board. But, the Doctor had still saved the day.

"But at a cost." He thought, looking down at his hands as they started to glow.

This had been a good life. He stood up and straightened his jacket.

"Well, it looks like-" he began to say, then the Tardis shuddered.

A pulse of energy shot through the Tardis, sending the Doctor into his regeneration as time began to behave oddly. Outside, the Tardis spun out of control as it smashed through the barriers between realities.

Iris was grabbing her school things by her locker as people began to run outside. "Whats going on?" Iris asked as one of the students said that a fireball is falling from the sky. She ran outside to see the fireball. "I don't think that's a fireball." Iris said to herself as she ran to where the fireball might land as the headmaster try to call her back.

The Tardis careened through the air, resembling a missile more then any sort of aircraft. The Doctor held himself up by the console as the last tremors of the regeneration faded. He managed a quick check of himself to make sure he had everything he needed. He turned and started pulling levers and switches, trying to control his decent.

"Come on, darling." He whispered to the Tardis. "I just need you to cooperate for a moment."

He smiled slightly. At least he would still talk to his love.

Slowly making his way around the console, he worked his magic to slow the Tardis and bring her in to land. He wasn't sure where, but as fatigue over came him, he decided that could wait. He was out cold be for he toppled to the ground.

Iris got to the location of where the fireball landed seeing only a police box on the ground. She ran to it to see if anyone is ok. "Hello can you hear me? If you could hear me please answer." Iris said getting worried.

The Doctor jerked awake at the sound of a voice. He panicked for a moment when he found he couldn't see. A quick check with his hands revealed that there was just something in front of his eyes. When he tried to move it, he found out that it was attached to his head.

"Hair?" He muttered.

He rolled onto his back and patted his chest.

"Nope. Not a girl."

He pulled some long strands of hair around where he could get a good look at it.

"And why would it be ginger now?" He said with a sigh and let his hair fall back.

He lay on the floor of the Tardis's control room till he remembered someone calling outside. And he did feel like some fresh air. He pulled himself up onto his feet and stumbled to the door out. He nearly had a nasty spill on the short stair to the door, but he had taken the precaution of holding on to the rail. Once there, he leaned against the door for a moment, then opened the door just enough to stick his head out.

"Can I help you, my dear?" He asked Iris.

"Thank goodness your ok. I saw your police box landed in the shape of a fireball. Wait are you The Doctor?" Iris asked

"Well, of course I'm okay." The Doctor replied, a little cross. "I'm the-"

His voice trailed off as his brain processed what his ears had relayed. He opened the door more and stepped out, studying Iris closely. She looked somewhat...familiar

"And how would you know that name, miss...?"

"My grandmother told me about the Doctor, and her adventures with him." Iris said to him.

Doctor moved closer to Iris, perhaps closer then polite and studied her face.

"You're a..." He started but trailed off.

So many people, so many faces. So many friends. But she looked like...

The Doctor looked shocked.

"Tyler?"

"You know my last name?" Iris asked the Doctor.

The Doctor was still staring at Iris with shock on his face.

"But that's impossible." He said.

He turned away and rubbed his face. He then drew his hands away. There was some unexpected ruffage on his face. He needed a mirrior.

He turned back around and smiled at Iris.

"Pardon me. Not impossible. Just highly improbably. So, your Rose Tyler's granddaughter."

His eyes widened a bit.

"Which means your grandfather was..."
