Left 4 Dead: The Third Wave (Roleplay)

(Note: We can't accept more people. Sorry, we've already got four)

It was dark. Cold. Raining. A group of four people made their way through a seemingly abandoned town. They weaved their way through, trying to avoid being noticed. They ran into a building, and tried to regroup at the highest floor...

"Well, we're all still alive... That's a good thing." Alex mentioned, looking around at the group. "We weren't followed in here, were we...?" He asked, looking around to make sure there wasn't anything else nearby. He made sure to reload his pistols; he didn't see anything, but he couldn't risk an ambushed.

"No," Torres breathed heavily, still not too conditioned to running. "We took out the last of the bastards before we made that last turn. I made sure of it..." Torres quickly reloaded the cache in his shotgun in case he needed to use it anyway.

"Good...I assume that means we can stop for a little rest..." Luke said, his pistol in his holster, and his shotgun strapped to his back.

Aurora sighed in relief and leaned against the wall of the building, remaining silent since she first met the three. She looked out at the pouring rain and nodded slightly in approval that none of the creatures followed them. She wasn't to sure she could trust these guys, but the more people there are, the less chance of dying. She reloaded her two pistols.

Alex nodded. "Alright... So, where are we going, anyway? We haven't decided on a place to try to get help, yet..." He tried to think of all the places that survivors usually flocked to when seeking refuge. "Well... There's the airport, the hospital, or the port... Those are the ones I know of." He told the others, hoping they could come to a conclusion.

Aurora's eyes flashed and she looked at Alex.

"The airport will have too many creatures there.. I think the hospital is the best choice first, because there will medical supplies." She finally said something.

"Aurora's got a point. We're were lucky enough to get past that one group. For all we know, a bunch of other hordes will come for us. We need all the help we can get if we want to stay alive," Torres said, now looking out the nearby window. The area seemed clear, but he had his doubts as he darted his eyes from one surrounding to the other.

Aurora took her SMG off the strap from her back and reloaded it. She was serious now.

"If we get to the airport after the hospital, we'll have enough supplies if someone gets injured." She said as she finished reloading her gun.

"Well, then there's also the fact that sometimes people die in hospitals...maybe they turned?" Luke said, thinking logically, though he then realized it could be taken pessimistically.

Alex looked back at Luke. "Well, only the living can get infected. There will probably be zombies at the hospital. Heck, I doubt there's anywhere that's really safe from them. I say we go with Aurora's idea to head there, and if we can't get help at the hospital, we can at least get supplies to get us to the airport alive." He went over what he thought was the best course of action. "So, do we all agree, then?"

"Yeah, I guess..." Luke said reluctantly, starting to reload his guns.

"Then it's decided," said Torres. "Now then, we need to make sure we take the least dangerous route to the hospital." He took his eyes away from the window and looked out the door from which they came. Using their past experiences coupled with the current surroundings, he formulated an idea of where to go. "Alright. The coast is clear down there. But in order to remain undetected, we should move through the back and through the alleyways connecting the city."

Aurora thought for a moment.

"Wouldn't the things ambush us in the alleyways if we went through? I'd suggest sticking to the dark of the streets." She said simply, not glancing at anyone, but staring down at her pistols, waiting for them to respond.
