The light disappeared from the top of Binary Tower in Beta City. A girl landed atop it and slowly opened her eyes. she looked around then the word Welcome appears infront of her. she ignores it and begins to check her skills and stats. in a few minutes she finishes with everything and smiles. "Good its back to normal" she says. The girl then begins to walk around the roof and stops when she finds Luna. she walks up to her and crouches down and begins to shake her awake "Hey! Wake up! I didn't come here to wait for you to wake from a 5 year sleep!" she yelled.

Zero and Skull both awaken in what appears to be an old timey elevator with 24 buttons, with the first labeled 0 and the last labeled 23.

(im setting this up so don't worry im just giving you guys a place to be)

 

Chronos, Asura, and many of the remaining players sees the light atop the largest tower of the city. about half of the players run in a panic, screaming something about the apocalypse, while the others seem to think its a new threat to deal with and draw there weapons and catiously head towards the building.

 

(the 4 of you may now assume control of your characters)

There's 23 floors... maybe in one of the 22 left Xio will be there. But what happened to Urikora? Or Luna and Echo, or Hibrai... How long was the crash? I was really confused but I seemed to be normal like last time my coding was mostly the same... Skull kept dashing down the corridor. Where is the end of this place anyway...

Luna looked at Leviathin, noticing her dog ears. She oddly looked like Xio.

"Can you tell what it is?" she asked.

 

(Arrow, will you ever be posting as Xio?)

"No but it sounds humanoid" replied Leviathin. In her hand a steampunk shotgun formed in Leviathin's hands. "Get ready"

(Im speaking of Crona and Josh as well as the glitches. Which by the way remain weak enough to one shot kill)

At the end of the corridor there is a door.

Luna nodded, and when she wield her sword, it was surrounded in darkness with a black blade. She controlled darkness now, which surprised her. However, she knew how to use the darkness too.

"Well it's good it sounds humanoid." Luna said seriously.

"Doesnt always mean humanoid is good" says Leviathin.

Skull made a stop as I dropped down it was a fairly big door. Skull was lucky he was small enough to fit through or else I would have to blast the door... And I don't want to do that... (poor door makers) I opened the door not being able to see anything and walked through with Skull following me, his head under my hand.

"Behind the door is a hallway full of many many many more doors. In the middle of the hallway was a man who was sitting on the gound, propped up against the wall. He had a scimitar next to him. His clothes were just jeans and a t-shirt. But when he looked up and parted his hair so only one eye was shown. You see a neon green, with a yellow pupil. "Who are you" he asks. Not even trying to stand up.

Skull steps one foot in front of me I pushed him back a little and spoke, "Zero." I answered... There's no point for me to fight everyone... I could crash beta version... 

"Doesnt always mean humanoid is good" says Leviathin.

"It could be good though." Luna snapped. She could tell it was getting closer.

(Are we in the same tower as you...)

Asura shot dark waves at the monsters as he ran to investigate the area.

"Ahh so your the The one named zero. Your looking for a way back to the main grid arent you." He said "im Chris, graphics developer of the Beta version"

--Zero--

"Ah hello, sir." I bowed, I think that's what the people in the overworld do... I think... But for a graphics developer I didn't think he would know my name... wait... "You've heard my name before? I thought I was a forgotten npc." Skull remained in front of me.

Chris burst out laughing "no need to be so formal." He said as he stood up and strapped his Scimitar to his back. "I vaugly remember you since you have clearly changed but i remember the young NPC boy who handed out potions. But he went missing. "And now here you stand before me." He said with a smile.

 

(Chronos, Asura, Luna, and Leviathin are in the same tower.)

 

"Well lets see who it is" said Leviathin as she made sure the gun was loaded then she opened the door to the stairs and aimed down the sights. Nothing was there. "Nothing" she told Luna.

"Akitobi!"

 

I hear a voice...it sounds familiar....unlike the darkness.....unfitting for the human who arose....unfitting for him....no its different. Familiar.

 

"Wake Up Akitobi!"

 

Akatobi? Is that my name? Am i sleeping? Huh? -he sees a light and a hand reaching down toward him.-

 

"Wake up!"

 

-he reaches out and takes hold of the hand.-

Akatobi opens his eyes and sees a girl wearing light armour, "Ranko!" He yells and hugs her. "Where have you been!? Ive missed you soo much"

 

"Ive been looking for you. Cause we have our jobs to do!"

 

"Wait wasnt i doing my job"

 

"We cant do our jobs from in there. Its unstable." Says Ranko.

 

"Oh i see. That explains alot"

 

"Good now then it time we get-" Ranko stopped her sentence short as a black blade exits her stomach. Akatobi's eyes widen and he catches Ranko as her bodies goes limp and slides off the sword.

 

"R-R-Ranko!" He screams then he looks up to see a figure weith blood red blothes standing before him. He has a chain strapped to his hilt which holds 7 different colored lights forming the links of the chain. A white light exits Ranko's body making an 8th chain link. "No....." Whispers Akatobi. "Youve lost your mind even more than i have......Xio" then he was struck down by the blade.

Well that makes sense. I was a npc anyway...of course the developers would wonder where I went... I grinned on the inside, but was he a moderator? Why was he here? "Why are you here sir?" Then I mumbled, "I have to look for a friend..." 

"Im the 15th moderator designer of graphics and skill mechanics. Youve met Gravian and Nornvas right? Well you may also know your on layer Zero so why you may ask are we moderators from other layers here? Well its because we are Afraid. We fear death so we have decided to take refuge on layer zero together. Ranko of layer 16 is among us. But she left to Fetch her counterpart Akatobi. They should be back soon. Valder of layer 22 is also here in one of these doors. Know he arent technically dying. We are simply getting our minds wiped completely which is odd since the other 4 bodies had stab wounds in them." Chris rambled.

The news shocked me moderators were going against other moderators? Or... I was confused then asked the question I held this whole time, "Then why am I here?" 

"No idea there is only one way out and thas trough a door, here on the Grid, buuuut nobody has opened it or came through it. If your here you mustve.... Well appeared. Or a bug in the game happpened." Explained Chris.

 

(Hardly anything crona. You and josh are still climbing the tower and neko and leviathin are about to go down it. Meanwhile other things have happened and irony das about it but its best you read it)

"Oh...that would make more sense then...I guess." I said looking at my slightly buggy hand. "Well I have to keep going, to find my friend sir." 

"Who is it that your looking for?" Asks Chris

"Xio." I responded, Wait... I rewinded my thoughts and thought about what Gravian and Nornvas told me... Don't tell me... No. No. I can't think like that. Skull felt more calm and pushed my arm to tell me we should get going.

Chris looked at Zero for a bit then he took a deep breath and spoke "Xio is somewhere off the grid. And we cant find him" said chris.

"Thank you sir." I said walking past him, And thank you for creating me. I thought to myself as I ran with Skull. 

"So your going to look in the Beta Version itself?" Asked chris "its alot bigger than these 24 floors."

"No idea there is only one way out and thas trough a door, here on the Grid, buuuut nobody has opened it or came through it. If your here you mustve.... Well appeared.
