False Light, Consuming Darkness (Roleplay)

Posted

(Optional Soundtrack)

In a timeline parallel to the one in Kingdom Hearts, the Keyblade War has come to an end. The difference in this timeline is, instead of the darkness taking over and the lights in children’s hearts bringing the worlds back, the light is utterly victorious. The Keyblade Wielders who sought to obtain the X-Blade have been crushed- with those who wield the light believing themselves to be those chosen by Kingdom Hearts.

The world has been broken apart by the terrible war, but the residents of each individual world pay little heed to this detail. They go about their lives, not troubling themselves with matters outside their own worlds now.

This would be fine enough, but those who won the war have become drunk with power. The Keyblade Wielders of light have lost sight of their former selves, becoming tyrants and dictators who despise the dark greatly. Because of this, they stop at nothing to destroy anyone with even the tiniest bit of darkness in their heart; they do this in an effort to prevent a second Keyblade War from ever happening.

This has brought peace, in theory, but the truth of the matter is everyone who bends to the will of those who wield light do so only out of fear. Is this true peace? Should the light be allowed to control the worlds simply because of their former righteousness?

A small group of rebels, some the descendents of those who fought, died, or merely lived during the Keyblade War, have come together for a common cause: to put an end to the light’s tyranny. Situated on a small, forgotten chunk of a former world, the seemingly abandoned mansion in which they reside houses each and every one of them. It is from here they travel to other worlds to bring back true peace, and also here where they go to rest up or merely kick back with one another. This outpost has been given the designation Garland Hub, for one of its members merely named it after the first thing she could see.

Meanwhile, those who fight for the light and protect the X-Blade have made their base in a world called The Land of Departure. It is here where veterans of the Keyblade War and their students reside, acting as a base of sorts and is primarily the light’s equivalent to Garland Hub.

Having come from various different backgrounds, the rebels have trained and honed their skills so that they may begin to make a difference. Those of the light merely learn from their Masters and travel forth to the worlds as enforcers.

Those who wish to remove the light from power, and those who wish to govern with it…just what drives them? And whose resolve will win out in the end and ultimately shape the worlds and their inhabitants? The answer lies within each of their individual decisions…

Okay, so here are the rules I can think of:

[*]No God Modding

[*]You can be multiple characters and even have characters on either side of the conflict

[*]You can be an Apprentice or a Master should you choose Enforcer, but should you choose Rebel, you need to be an Apprentice who may or may not have experience- the rebels have no adult leadership or Masters at the time being.

[*]Romance is allowed, but must be PG-13 at most

[*]Please refrain from too much foul language

[*]You can’t kill someone else’s character unless you both contact me that this is something you both are okay with- I don’t want anyone getting bullied >:S

[*]There are NO Original Kingdom Hearts characters in this timeline- so no Sora, Roxas, Terra, Xehanort, etc. They did not exist before the current timeline occurs either, so they cannot be referenced.

[*]Disney characters exist in their respective worlds, you CANNOT kill them unless you pm me and I approve it. I would probably only approve it if their death is canon, so don’t go trying to slay the 7 Dwarfs xP

I think that’s it, I’ll add to this post if it’s necessary! ^^

How long have I been laying here? A minute? An hour? I have no sense of time here in Garland Hub, as the sky is always dark. The worlds illuminate the sky as stars, but never cease to hang there above us- there is no daytime here anymore. Perhaps this is the side effect of this world being incomplete?

There’s only a small chunk left of this mysterious world, and on it sits the mansion in which we all reside. We’re pretty different, all here for an array of reasons, but we all share a common goal: to overthrow the Enforcers.

They’ve been bullying each of the worlds and their inhabitants, so I say enough is enough. I will fight, to put an end to this false peace, and remove the fear that governs everyone to act like sheep under the Enforcer’s rule.

Sitting up, I throw my legs over the side of the bed and stand up- I’m ready, I’ve been training myself for years and honing the techniques Mom and Dad taught me…I need to start making a difference.

I open the door to my room as quietly as possible, as the others are all sleeping in their own rooms- or at least I assume they are. I don’t want to trouble them, so I’ll go out on my own for this mission: to finally begin making our presence known, and let the Enforcers know they can’t keep getting away with acting like dictators.

Weaving my way through the halls, I make it to the ground floor and head out the front doors. There’s a porch, but beyond that is merely space- the chunk of land this mansion sits atop is only enough to actually hold the mansion; the grounds that once surrounded it have disappeared completely. Maybe this is why the Enforcers don’t know of this place- as it is simply a beaten up, old looking mansion in the middle of space…or maybe they just don’t care.

Whatever the reason is, it’s no concern of mine at the time being. Summoning my Keyblade, I’m about to turn it into a Keyblade Glider when I stop and hesitate- should I really go out to a new world all on my own? I mean it’s not entirely new, Dwarf Woodlands they’re called, I’ve visited there once or twice, but now I plan on going there to actually pick a fight with the Enforcers. Should I really tackle this challenge on my own? I look back at the lobby of the mansion, wondering if I should see if anyone else wants to go…

Lyon quickly dissolved the barrier with light, and when the other tried to throw her into a portal, she snapped her fingers, and the portal was gone as well. "I'll take that as a no." Lyon muttered, and she launched an offensive against the Rebels. A dome of light encompassed the two rebels and herself. "You chose die. I'll be happy to grant your wish." She struck out with her keyblade, lunging towards Ren first, then slicing at Daichie.

"Don't push me..." Ren stood at the ready.

Daichie repelled the blade with his long spear and thrusts with the short spear, "two on one huh, and in a confined space, not exactly the brightest idea girl"

Edited by Kumori-kun

Lyon easily deflected the thrust with the creation of a shield of light. "If anything, it's a bad idea for you two. And saying 'girl' in a demeaning and insulting manner is incredibly rude. So far, you've demonstrated arrogance and sexism. The absolute picture of an evil Rebel aren't you?" Lyon commented slyly. Lyon quickly swept her legs down in a sweep, the brought her body up for an upward slash at the spear-wielder. She then took a step back, and held her keyblade by her side.

"We have problems with people who women who try to kill us..." Ren said. "Others are okay.."

"But if you say it in a demeaning way, within a very broad category, you offend all." Lyon responded coolly. Deciding to move things along at a faster pace, she struck out at Ren. She sliced sideways, then brought the blade back, shooting a few bolts of light at the Rebel. He had been the one who was completely in tune with the darkness. That made him dangerous. Probably more dangerous than the one with spears, but she couldn't take either lightly. They had both proved themselves by pretty much taking down two Enforcer strongholds.

Ren deflected the blasts. "You know, we cold argue about grammar after one of us wins..." He shot 4 blades, to try and keep distance... Berserker would be a last resort...

Daichie avoids the attack, readies himself for another but sees her go after Ren. *Did she just ignore me?!...that woman* Seeing the opening, Daichie lunged to her and thrusted with the short spear to her body.

Horizon:

"What has happened between you and our order means nothing to me. You are to be executed for carrying secrets detrimental to the survival off the Enforcers." Horizon replied, raising and pointing his blade at her, "You, Harumi, have been convicted of treason. And those above me have decreed that your punishment is death." Horizon quickly lowered, his blade pointed behind his shoulder, "Die now, and may you find solace in the after-life. Zantestuken!"

Harumi:

Harumi gasped, feeling a rush of air slide past her. In the same moment her body jerked back, and large rush of blood gushing from a suddenly open wound. Horizon stood behind her, sheathing his Keyblade. He made no indication that he noticed when Harumi collapsed to her knees.

Ausar:

"There we go.." Ausar murmured, snapping his fingers in the other's face, "Wake up, you. I fixed it all up." Ausar said, sighing deeply. A little bit more had been done than just 'fixing up' the memories locked in the others head. This person would serve now as well equipped weapon for the cause. Perhaps even to further Ausar' own motives.

Horizon struck her down with minimal effort...well done.

"Excellent job Captain Fallo, now see to it that she never rises again."

I will have to check with the Council to see what information the girl had...odds are it was nothing serious, but just in case...

Daichie:

Looking past the barrier he saw a girl get struck down by a man *Lyon was it?---remembers his mom* Enraged he went trough the barrier using his long spear and started to charge towards the man "I WON'T LET YOU KILL ANOTHER REBEL!!!"

Shougo:

With a satisfied look he goes through the portal to see three rebels that were clearly outnumbered, one already down, *wait those two took down all the enforcers we had posted here?!* Upon closer examination he sees that the man he encountered at Traverse Town is headed straight for Horizon, and the one clouded in darkness is engaging Lyon.

One of the rebels Lyon engaged seems to be targeting Horizon now, on top of that the fourth member of our merry band has finally arrived...I wonder how this will all play out?

Horizon:

It seemed Harumi's execution would have to wait, Horizon decided. Yet another rebel arrived, daring to fight him. Did he not see how I felled her with one move? Mm...perhaps I am becoming too arrogant for my own good. Horizon thought, turning to this new rebel.

"I cannot use Zantestuken for some time.." Horizon murmured, sighing as the rebel continued to approach him, "No matter." He then whispered, slicing madly as the rebel charged him. Either the rebel would back off, or be cut by Horizon's ensuing flurry of blades.

Daichie:

*what is he doing?* Daichie threw his short spear at a frightening speed towards Horizon keeping his charge

Shougo:

"well well well isn't this interesting, well we were given orders to capture them" Using time splicer he stopped time and reappeared next to the thrown spear, took it, reappeared next to Daichie and threw him in a portal leading to their base. Then time started moving again "well that's one down, I've done my part"

One rebel had charged out of the barrier towards Horizon, but Shougo dealt with him quickly. Lyon still needed to focus on her own battle. Shields of light appeared in front of each blade, shattering them. "Yeah, but then the fight would be all boring." Lyon retorted, smirking a little. She then produced a momentarily blinding flash of light, and when sight was available again, Lyon was standing in front of the Rebel. She stabbed forward into his gut, other blades of light doing the same to other parts of his body.

It would appear our fourth companion proved quite useful...I will have to find out his name from the Council.

All that remains now is for Horizon and Lyon to deal with the others...I wonder if that shop in Traverse Town is open now? I suppose it will have to wait...business first and all.

The figure sat upright. He put his hand to his head and recalled his name. He was Colonel Ennoyr Neyelmnik, in charge of Port Royal. Well now that Port Royal was under reconstruction, he'd have been transferred to Captain status. Enno looked to Doctor Ausar, and nodded. "Thank you Doctor. Now, as my world is under construction, I should probably hunt down those Rebels myself. Have you any idea where they may have gone?" Enno asked politely.

Ausar:

The scientist smiled, "Oh, yes. I do believe there is world where the stage of a rather massive battle is taking place. Where? I am not truly sure, though I do  think it is the Wonderland world....but I may be incorrect." Ausar replied, loving his latest design. A perfect memory splicing.

"So, will you be going?"

"Wonderland.." Enno muttered to himself. He stood up, and grabbed his sword. He grasped the handle and pulled the blade out. It felt right, but almost like it was keeping a secret from him. Enno ignored the omen, and slid it back into the sheath. He turned back to the Doctor, and bowed his head. "Thank you again. And yes, I really must be going now." Enno concluded, turning to leave. He walked through the doorway, and was about to find a way to Wonderland when he happened across the wardrobe. He looked down at his clothing. Blue robes. They didn't feel quite like him. He grabbed a black hooded cloak, and quickly changed outfits. Satisfied with his new gear, Enno continued to the gateways of Disney Castle. The gateways were huge permanent light portals that gave any soldier easy access to the worlds if they couldn't summon a portal themselves. Without a second thought, he stepped through the one leading to Wonderland. He appeared next to Captain Fallo. His hood up, Enno calmly observed the area. "Almost have them all whipped don't you." He spoke coolly, no hesitation.

Ren noticed the figure. He felt... Something familiar...could it?

No. Can't be...

He launches a strike at Lyon. Better soften them up a bit first before taking on the newcomer. That new one... Who was he?

And where was light?

Just as I'm about to head off with Nova and Harumi, one of the Enforcers takes Harumi back! I can't just leave her!

"Nova, stay here!" I tell, rushing back into Wonderland.

Returning to the fray, I see Ren squaring off with one of the Enforcers that caught us before, Horizon along with a new Enforcer standing before Harumi, and the Empress herself merely watching everything play out.

Darn it! Are we about to be caught again, or worse this time?!

"Uh, okay." Nova said surprised. he propelled himself backward to make room for Light's escape.

((Sorry I haven't posted in a while))
