"Axel what's a birthday?" Roxas asks, glancing over at the redhead with a curious look.
The Nobody looks down at him and raises an eyebrow, dangling his legs off the edge of the clock tower. He gestures a hand. "You're kidding, right?"
Roxas' silence proves all.
Axel sighs and looks away, staring out into the sunset. "Well, kiddo... A birthday is when somebody celebrates the day of your birth. You know, and they give you presents to show that they care."
"Oh..." Roxas copies Axel and looks out into the sunset too, kicking his legs off the edge. He chews on his popsicle stick and sighs, tilting his head as if he was in thought.
Axel takes notice into the blond's strange posture and nudges him. "Hey, what is it?"
'Nothing..." He replied. "Just wondering why you would celebrate your birth..."
"Well... It depends on who you are... Either you're someone special or you're someone who just needs some love in their life..."
Roxas looks away from the sun and stares up at him. "If that's the case, then who am I?" He frowns, afraid of what Axel might say.
"You, kid..." Axel smiles. "If it were up to me, I'd celebrate your birthday everyday. Because you're not special. You're not someone who needs a little love." He ruffles his hair and hands him another popsicle. "You're someone really important."
Roxas looks at the ice cream and grins, gasping. "Hah!" Without hesitation, he quickly grabs the popsicle and places it in his mouth, savoring the salty treat. "Nom nom nom... Do you raelly mean it, Axel"
Axel laughs and smiles, nodding his head to him. "Mm-Hmm...And you know what, Rox?"
"What?" The boy looks up at him again, mouth full of ice cream and he can't help but think that he looks like a five year old. "What is it?"
Axel leans in and pats his back, sighing happily. "happy Birthday~!"
