why doesnt Riku have a heartless?

i mean,didnt he technically give in to the darkness?

maybe his heart was just to strong to be completely overcome..hmmn

anyway,tell me what you think

Riku gave into darkness yes but he didn't lose his heart to the heartless Ansem just took over it. So technically speaking Riku doesnt have a heartless

Well yes but Riku's heart never left his body. Ansem went inside his heart instead

Consumed, yes, but when your heart is consumed by darkness you still can keep it, i.e. Ansem the Wise.

Riku has never lost his heart to the darkness. At first, he was able to harness it's power for his own use. When he was possessed by Ansem SoD, it could be said that his heart was simply pushed far out of reach.

Riku never lost his heart. He was possessed, but his heart was never consumed by darkness. Hence, no Heartless, no Nobody.
