I'm just sooooooo happy today because I FINNALY got a shiny Pokémon using the Poké Radar. Not only my first Pokémon in XY but my first one of all! I had other shinies before but they were Pokémon that people gave me or others like the shiny Gyarados. I've been trying Poké Radar but I never succeed.

And I don't care if it's just a Bunnelby, for me it's very special

 

So, have you ever caught a shiny Pokémon? What was the first one?

 

EDIT: I just caught my second one, a golden Magikarp! With the fishing method it wasn't difficult but a bit tiring after an hour fishing again and again. But worth it!

My first shiny was a random wild encounter in Soul Silver and it was a Starly, now Staravia! =D

 

My all subsequent shinies were in my Y version:

 

1. Spritzee by Pokéradar

2. Audino in Friend Safari looking for an Eevee

3. Another Audino in Friend Safari

4. ANOTHER FREAKING AUDINO....

5. Switched safaris because of stupid Audino (FML) and got a shiny female BRAIXEN the next day! =D

6. Octillery in Friend Safari

7. A 31/30/31/31/31/31 Male Prankster Klefki by egg hatch

8. A 3 IV Greninja (Speed, Sp. Atk., Sp. Def.) by egg hatch

9. A 31/31/31/31/31/15 Aegislash by egg hatch

10. A 31/31/x/31/31/31 Scyther that someone gave me for free for helping them.

 

I traded the useless shinies I got in the friend safari for good breeding pairs that created my beast mode shinies. Yeah, my team is awesome. >: D

I just hatched a shiny Pichu the other day. 407 eggs I evolved it into Pikachu and equip it with the em... Light Ball? I think it's in english, and trained him and he's strong. Maybe he doesn't have good defense but he has a lot of attack and speed. I'm going to take a break from eggs and train Pokemon now

I'm thinking about Pokeradaring a Haunter, but it takes sooooo LONNG...

I've only found two shinys. Both of which I failed to catch.

 

First one was a shiny graveler in pokemon silver. I was training my Dragonair in Victory Road, and I was just spamming surf. I wasn't really paying attention, and the GBC lighting isn't good. By the time I realized it was a shiny, I had already started using Surf...

 

It... was super effective.

 

Second one was in the Safari Zone in Pokemon FireRed. I was trying to catch a Kangaskhan. I ran into a shiny exeggcute. There was a chance it would run, so I thought to myself: Alright, Juma calm down. Just throw a Safari ball. It will most likely work, it has to work. So I threw the Safari ball...

 

*Shakes*

*Shakes a third time...!*

 

*BOOM* It breaks out. AND FLEES. I was so devastated that something so rare slipped through my fingers that I didn't play for a week.

My first was a Shiny Magikarp. I traded it to my friend for a Noctowl. >_< I didn't know at the time that it was special (I was like 8). The first one that I actually still have was a Machoke that I found in Cerulean Cave.

Haha. That reminds me of a friend who encountered a shiny Noctowl the other day in X, that's when I was in my shiny hunt so I was mad at him because I couldn't find any shinies and he got really lucky and found one randomly.
