December 23, 201311 yr I have played both of them. There are a lot of great graphical mods for FFVII which makes the PC version superior. If you don't like modding then get the PSN version. As for FFVIII, the PC version is a lot better.
December 23, 201311 yr Well, if you get the PC version, you have access to awesome mods that will make the game even more epic, but it depends on the parts on the computer. If you still have the recommended parts that is required to play the basic games itself, then go for PC, since its been remastered anyways. The PS One classics makes it feel like you're playing on the real thing, like your reliving your childhood or teenhood through playstation again, but little to none modifications are made and are not remastered. Personally I would go for PC if I had the right parts, but since I don't, I would have to resort to PS one classic. But that's my side of the story. Basically, you have to choose, get huge nostalgic values through reliving the classics like we did back then, or get a PC edition that is remastered, and if you have the right parts, access epic mods that makes the gaming experience even better.
December 24, 201311 yr Author I have no interest in modding it, and I don't want to use Steam so I guess I'm stuck with the PS One Classics. I've actually never played them before. I've only played X, X-2, XII, XIII & XIII-2 and I've of course watched both versions of Advent Children.
