New Kingdom Hearts game for the Nintendo 3DS confirmed at E3

Posted

During Nintendo's E3 conference, while discussing the 3DS just now, they were discussing third party companies that would be supporting the 3DS.

One of them was Square Enix. They said one of them would be a Kingdom Hearts game.

The logo wasn't really able to be seen, but it definitely wasn't Re:Coded.

EDIT: Since this is fully confirmed, this should probably be alright as its own thread as opposed to the one for speculating and "what if"ing.

I really don't think it is a remake. Seriously, what in the world calls for a remake?

Re:Coded

Re= Remake

Remake of Coded, just like Re:Chain of Memories.

Or as in it's on a different console than the original as well

This is so damn confusing. At some times it seems like a KH1 remake, others it seems like a Riku's story..asdfghjkl

Be interesting to see how they utilize the 3D features. With the graphics capability, it could easily match that of KH2 (and it seems to be doing so)

I expect we'll hear a little more about this and Re:Coded in an issue of Nintendo Power soon, probably as the cover story. They've said before that they love the KH series over there.

More Nintendo support pleases me. Paves a more likely path for Kingdom Hearts III on the Wii.

It seems to me like a KH1, KH2 and RE:COM combi game. It obviously looks like you can play as Sora and Riku from the screenies, they are in their KH1 forms and Sora is fighting the giant Nobody.

I am keen to know what kind of story this has...

so you mean i have to buy a hole nother system....THIS SUCKS

atleast everything looks good about it

does any one know if all ds games are compatible for the 3ds?

i am pretty sure they are, i dont remember the link but it was on the e3 site about the 3ds

I might preorder it lol

I meant what would call for a remake of KH 1 which people seemed to think this game was. Really, why in the flippin world would we need a remake of the first game. Coded needed a remake because it was on a cellphone. It would be dumb to remake KHI for the 3DS, and the screenshots clearly show its not.

I seriously doubt this 3D game will be a remake. I think Nomura has something up his sleeve and he is enjoying not revealing it just yet. We've got time and plenty to occupy us till then since we have Birth by Sleep coming in September and Re:Coded probably in the late fall

I agree. I still have to finish Re:CoM...

It's confirmed to be an entirely new game.

Soo...someone mind explaining WHY its called KH 3D?

It's not 3D technically. Apparently 3D stands for something, not 3 dimensional though. My friend guessed 3 Destinies, but who knows what it for sure is right now
