This RP is for OCs (original characters). And it's not KH based, sorry. :<

It's my first attempt at starting something like this; and it's fairly daunting on a board so jam-packed with KH roleplays. I'm really hoping this doesn't get shot down instantly.

 

[ -- First off;

 

A few basic ground rules before I even start to get into what this is about.

[align=right]Please, PLEASE try to keep your spelling and grammar in check. Paste it in Word or something if needbe, just make sure that people can actually read it without a headache. A typo every here and there is no problem- barely spelling a single word right is. Sorry, but it seriously bothers me. I've had years of English teachers slamming grammar and spelling rules into my head, and now any kind of icky writing just... grates. Although I'm a hypocrite and do tend to start sentences with "And". It's not much of a grammar rule, anyway- basic stuff like forgetting full stops and paragraphing is what is just irritating.

 

One liners are to be used sparingly here, too. Short replies to long posts are kind of heartless. Even if all you can do is "Soandso jumped in the elevator along with Beezlebub", at least try and stretch it all beyond just one line. Like, if you're stuck with a one-liner response... how are they feeeeeeeeeling? What are they thinking?

 

Also, no serious God-modding or killing other characters unless you ask permission and they THEN ACTUALLY SAY YES. I've been in roleplays before where someone has asked another person of they can kill their character, has had a no in response, and then killed them off anyway. Gah.[/align]

 

[ -- The Concept;

 

There are monsters in the streets, the stores, everywhere. But they're not rampaging around, killing and causing havoc. In fact, they are relatively accepted. Evolution and mutation has caused the human race to have to grudgingly make way for their new equals. A lot of hatred still exists for the non-humans, and more for the half breeds. So much that scientists studying them have noticed how hard it is for those of us not entirely human, growing up and living around such prejudice. So a small group of them set up a camp, so to say, a sanctuary for the younger generations. And so, they brought in the kids that had been victimised or targeted, asking parents of such creatures to send their kids in, so they could have somewhere to live where they WEREN'T just freaks. Where they could be themselves. Not a lot of them were willing to stay, however... Once you're sent there, you need your parent's consent to leave until you're twenty. And not everyone feels like holding hands and staying in with the den of monsters.

"That guy was yelling earlier, too... I guess he's like King of the Grumps here, huh?" Sebby giggled, watching as Zane seemed to have a minor temper tantrum and storm off.

 

Zack made somewhat a mess of the bushes as he crawled out, and got to his feet clumsily after his legs starting to fall asleep, crouching down as he had. Picking leaves out of his hair, he turned around, offering a hand to help her up.

 

"It's weird. You'd think, in a place like this... Everyone would be dying to meet people like them. But instead practically everyone hides away. D'you have any clue why they do that?"

 

Zack didn't know. After all, he'd never had any need to be alone; he'd had Zane, and, whenever Zane cleared off, back in the outside world, he'd always made friends easily. Pretty much his entire life had been spent in the close company of other people- mostly human- so he was just honestly curious about the behaviours of all the kids here who weren't what he knew so well.

Aaron looked down...

"Um..."

(Ohshi-- it's one am where you live... hey wait a minute... I think I know you o.o)

 

Adrienne laughed. "Yeah. By the way, what are they? Those twins?"

Adrienne couldn't figure out wht sort of creature they were...

As the White Rabbit was helped getting up, she answered, "Um... I don't know. I guess... they're scared." She then began playing with her ear. "Outside this circle is a bigger circle. Outside of this circle, each individual was treated in a different way. I suppose that just affected their attitudes by the time that they arrived in this circle..."

Zane stopped and looked up. "What IS it with you people and TREES? Seriously!"

He stomped his foot, still in the midst of his teenaged toddler tantrum.

 

Zack pulled a face. "Like... getting picked on and stuff? I guess... I get what you mean. Sheesh, me and my brother had it kind of easy, the way you make that sound..." He tugged too hard on a branch caught in his hair, and winced as it ripped out; he was unscathed, but as he dropped the branch, the hair caught in it turned coopery brown again, shooting off in the wind.

 

"I... I don't know, not totally," Sebby said uncertainly. He scratched his nose slightly, gazing off after where Zane had stomped off to.

"They definitely are part demon. I can smell it on them. But I just can't place the other scents, you know? I can tell there's two or three other parts mixed in there, and one is more than a bit woodsy, so I guess it's something that lives in forests..." He shrugged. "I tried checking out their records, but someone had burnt them all up- they were all black and gross. Maybe they've got something to hide... they don't seem so close, being twins and all..." Sebby stopped, and laughed, rubbing the back of his head. "Oops, just thinkin' out loud, I guess!"

At the mention of his brother, the White Rabbit was reminded of her sisters. The smile on her face slipped away as she looked down at the ground. "Yeah, I suppose..." she said.

(OHSHI-- I KNEW IT ;A; You stalker ._. LOL Is your comp still busted? *~* )

 

"Demon? That's... unusual. So they're not human at all? Or like just a small percentage?" Adrieene asked.

Aaron jumped down in front of Zane.

(8D ...It's screwed, yeah. I don't know when it'll get fixed... so I'm typing slooooooooowly on my iPod now.)

 

Zack noticed her smile fade, and frowned. "What's wrong? Did I say something...?"

He tried to rack his brain for anything insulting he'd said. Old habits die hard, after all- he didn't take pride in how much he'd been like Zane, once. Sometimes it still slipped out. But there wasn't anything glaringly mean, he thought...

 

Zane stumbled back, cussing in surprise under his breath, and glared at Aaron, waiting to see what the other boy would do.

 

[i GIVE UP ON SEBBY'S COLOURS, GAH.]

Sebby shook his head, and couldn't help but look a tiny bit worried.

"Not a trace... It's strange. Usually, there's even just a little bit of human there- so far, everyone else I've met has been a little bit human- even most of the demons have a bit of human genes in there along the line. But... nothing. You can tell they've lived with humans most of the time; I mean, they LOOK more human than most of us." Sebby thought for a moment, then looked up at her. "I don't think they look like that. Not exactly. It doesn't match up, them looking so mundane but stinking of inhuman things all the time."

Aaron picked the kid up by the collar...

"Tell me... whats happening here." He said, menacingly.

"Well of course they looks more human than most of us. They don't have ears or tails or anything animal like. Maybe they can shape shift?" Adrienne questioned.

The White Rabbit looked up. Then, giving a forced smile, she replied, "No, not at all."

"Now," she said, looking around, "where's my sketch book...?"

(Ohhh, the chattttt. <3 And not the virginity again! DDD: (Ha, I remember Blue's reaction to that.) And I'm also being lazy and giving up on the letter sizing because I'm lazy and it adds whole minutes onto the typing process. :<)

 

Zane's eyes widened in shock for a moment, then narrowed.

"Put me down, freak," he spat, eyes burning as he glared up at Aaron.

 

Sebby scratched an ear, deep in thought. "Maybe... It would explain why they don't have anything about them that different- usually the closest, most human part-breeds will still have something that gives away that they're different... like weird eyes or a hollow back or something. But, from what I can tell... They don't even have anything tiny like that off about them.

 

Zack gazed around for a moment, bemused. "Huh... You dropped it a bit further back, I guess. It was outside some of these shrubs, 'cause I crawled through them from wherever you'd left it."

( The chat was like lahv <333 I will take it again 8'D (LOL I took hers too~ She says she's gonna get me back o.o) teh noes )

 

"Maybe we could go ask them... Wait no they might take offense or find it rude..." Adrienne thought for a second. Then she spotted another boy with one the twins.

"I haven't seen him around. Is he new?"

"Oh. Then I guess I'll go and get it," the White Rabbit declared as she walked off in search of it.

(STAY AWAY FROM MAH CHERREH. D:<)

 

Sebby glanced over at them, tilting his head.

"Hm... Nope, never seen him before! Doesn't look so good over there, though- they don't look like they're getting along, somehow..."

"NOT UNTIL YOU TELL ME!" Aaron screamed... scary

Adrienne cringed at the screaming.

"A fight? Doesn't look good... maybe we should go break it up," Adrienne said, starting to walk over.

Aaron... not having gotten any information from the boy... threw him into the dirt.

"You are of no more use to me."

With this, Aaron unsheathed a katana... and held it to his throat.

Sebby ran after her, still trying to think through about the twins. (Short post is FAIL short. T-T)

 

Zane didn't looked fazed- in fact, a smirk stretched out across his face.

"Oh, great, another psycho freak. If you have any kind of brains, you'd probably be putting me down about now. Or I can make you."

( *cries* T~T )

 

"Hey!" Adrienne yelled, running up to both of them. She jumped back at the sight of the katana but shook it off. "Put that away!"

She outstretched a hand to Zane, helping him up.

Eventually, after thorough searching, the White Rabbit found her sketch book. After she picked it up, she ran back to Zack, exclaiming, "I found it!"

Within a flick of the wrist and the blink of an eye...

Aaron gave Adrienne the equivalent of a large papercut across the back of the hand, this would cause her to jump away...

With her put of the picture... Aaron brought the sword down on Zane...

or at least, was about to.

"Ouch!" Adrienne exclaimed. She glared at Aaron. "Put. That. Away!" she nearly yelled.

Aarons blade was a mere hairs breadth away from killing Zane...

But...her voice.

The pure beauty of it... stopped him midway.
