So, I have a question that has been bothering me for some time. We all know that Ventus' hearts resides in Sora, asleep. I read somewhere that Nomura said that was the only reason that Sora could wield a Keyblade. Nomura also hinted that Ventus might return. So my question is, if Ventus does come back, does that mean that Sora will lose his ability to wield the Keyblade?

it chose him at hollow bastion because of his heart, but it originally went to him because of ven's heart was inside him. destiny occurs with or without the actions of the individual going with or against the events that are predetermined. Heck, even xehanort didn't see the existence of sora coming into play. Sora was never destined to wield it, but through effort he was able to. I would like to see the interview where sora is stated that he was specifically destined for it since birth though, but either way this debate is

Pointless since noumea is writing this stuff as he goes along.

Since Nomura is writing this as he goes Ven wouldn't have existed back in KH1 now would he ? The interviews are all archived here . Read them. If Nomura says it's destiny then it is .Nomura= canon . Here's one interview where he talks about who gave who what but he says it a few times throughout all the interviews.. Look them all up. The one about Destiny is somewhere in the archives so look it up but i did take time to find at least one example of what i'm talking about . Aqua was going to give Sora the ceremony herself but decided not too bc she sensed Riku had it already and  did not want it to interfere with their friendship. Yet , he still managed to attract the keyblade at the time were it was searching for the proper owner

- So its not Once Soras story is finished, another heros story will begin, the hero is always Sora.

Nomura: Yes. One of the concepts behind the KH series is that the main character Sora isnt special, hes just a normal boy. Yes he does have connections with Ventus heart, among others, but he hasnt inherited anything from them.  Hes just a normal boy you could find anywhere. I wanted to make Sora a character that the player could take onto themselves and feel that you dont have to be special. But connect to many people and you will realize your secret potential. With BbS I want to make fans excited to see Soras return. The secret event is a symbol of that, so I hope everyone will get to see it and wait for Soras next adventure.

  • About Riku being the rightful owner of the Keyblade—why is it that Sora had the Keyblade first?

That part is also a bit vague. In the Destiny Islands when Riku is swallowed by the darkness, there’s a sparkle of light, and next comes the scene where Sora first gets the Keyblade, right? In my setting, the darkness wrapping itself around those two is the darkness of Riku’s heart. At the moment when Sora enters that darkness, the light you can see is the light of the heart. Sora, trying to help Riku, struggling in the darkness, touches that light and temporarily the Keyblade goes to Sora.

  • Does not the Keyblade itself choose its owner?

The Keyblade reacts to the rightful owner’s heart and appears to them. Even though it was definitely Riku who called the Keyblade towards him, the reason why Sora was able to weild it was because he also had the right qualities too.

Also please show me one interview where Nomura said Ven was the only reason Sora wielded . Even though he wielded without Ven's heart when it was in Roxas from the end of KH1 all through CoM up until KH2 when they reunited .

If you have not read the interviews go looks it up. Easy to do. Also, Nomura's words equal canon until otherwise stated by Nomura.
