That scene is sad I agree, but I think by adding this scene and after the movie was over they became that much better friends so don't look at it like it's a sad scene but as a scene that built the friendship of Ralph and Penelope.

I've still only seen parts of this movie... I should probably get onto that

really good movie, and if you watch closely you'll see Sonic the Hedgehog a few times in the movie

OMG, this is totally a sad scene, and this is one hell of a movie.
