Do you think that once Final Fantasy XV comes out for PS4/Xbox One it will become a success for Square-Enix and possibly save the franchise from going downhill? I really hope that it does because since this has become Square's longest project this game HAS to meet expectations. But the only thing that Square hasn't done to build much hype for the game is not giving us enough information on thr game. I mean it has been almost a decade and we STILL don't know much about it. And what's kinda sad that even though this is one of my most highly anticipated PS4 games, I don't have as much hype for the game like I had back when it was revealed in 2008. If Square wants this game to be a solid success then they'd ought to give us daily information on this game to keep consumers interested in the game. If this game becomes a flop like with Duke Nukrem then we all know Square will go bankrupt  or at least lose a ton of money.

XIII was the fastest selling title in the series' history and it spurred two sequels. I think that's a success.

Still didn't outsell Final Fantasy VII which sold over 10 million copies making it one of the best selling games on Ps1 if not the BEST selling game on the Ps1.

 

And Final Fantasy 8(despite my hatred for 8) sold over 8 million copies on the Ps1

 

XIII while sold very fast on launch,it only reached 6 million copies.And even with their sequels in count the XIII trilogy only reached 9 millions which still less than Final Fantasy VII which sold 10 million copies before the likes of Crisis Core or Advent Children was released

 

If the game was actually good,XIII-2 and LRFFXIII wouldn't have suffered in sales because of all the hatred that XIII generated among both the fandom and RPG fans alike
