Madden NFL, my game winning touchdown with 5 secs left

Posted

Tonight, I was playing Madden NFL 13 on All-Madden in Play Now. I was my beloved New England Patriots and we were playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in a prime time match at Gillette Stadium.

The Jaguars took an early 10-0 in the match before I drove my offense down the field to score a touchdown. It was then 10-7. The Jaguars responded with a touchdown of their own extending their lead to 17-7 at halftime. We came out after halftime and scored a touchdown to cut their lead to 17-14. With my defense we finally made a stop, holding the Jaguars to a punt. Then I drove my offense to the red zone, with just over two minutes left, things were looking good. I then threw an inside pass to my #1 wide receiver but was intercepted with about two minutes to go. The game looked over, I used my three time outs to stop the clock a few times but it looked over regardless. We managed to hold the Jaguars to a 4th down and they went for a long field goal and converted. Jaguars led 20-14 with about 8 seconds to go. The Jaguars kicked the ball to me and the clock went down to 5 seconds. Did I think it was over? Yes. But I was going for it anyway. Controlling the great, Tom Brady I threw a deep pass to my #2 tight end and somehow he managed to get in the end zone and score a game winning touchdown. We won 21-20.

Here's the stats and the game winning touchdown.

I've had plenty of those moments :P When all seems bleak, your team comes up with the victory.
