Yeah, I'm not good with this type of subject so I'm going to try my best.

 

Do you guys know the Monster Hunter series ? You could say this is a monster-hunting type game. However, there are other games like God Eater 2, Toukiden and Freedom Wars that is also a monster-hunting type. Those are great games but the thing that pissed me off the most is that some people call these games a clone or a rip-off of Monster Hunter. How exactly is this a clone or rip-off ? Im sure those people haven't played those games yet and still decided to call them by these names. If you haven't play these games or do not want to, how about you just shut up about it ?

 

I needed to get this off my chest. It's been bugging me for a while. 

People tend to chant that to their favorite series, if they find that it is similar to one thing and it is either not as popular or more prevalent people will say it is copied off of;however, if you have the case where the system or underlining set-up is the same then it is usually one was a huge fan of the other.

 

Example: NEEDLESS vs Gurren Lagann 

People claimed that NEEDLESS was a big rip-off of Gurren Lagann even though NEEDLESS came out waaay before Gurren Lagann it was still harped at due to the lack of fandom for NEEDLESS.

 

When really the creator of Gurren Lagann was actually a NEEDLESS fan.

Also I know of MH it is one of my favorite franchises.
