Season 2 was so stupid at times. They made it clear in the episode where Bastion joins that every Obelisk Blue and Ra Yellow student (with the exception of Jaden's friends) were in the Society of Light. And yet, come the GX tournament there was tons of Obelisk Blue and Ra Yellow students duelling. And don't get me started on the fact they NEVER dealt with Zane and the way he was after he defeated Syrus in a duel.
