My point was on rules that ruin your in game fun. The rules we have happen based on Tournament type. Say a Cute Pokemon or Monotype Tournament for example, it doesn't make sense to use something like Gengar or Charizard in a Cute Pokemon Tournament (we've literally had people ask questions like this >.>). Monotype's ruling is obvious. But these rules dun ruin the fun of the game unlike rules such as "Megas banned, no OHKO, items banned, etc." Sounds to me like someone's too competitive with a light hearted game of raising and battling monsters.I apologize for my earlier unspecified "Rules."

Again backfiring, this is too much lol, Ever heard about opinions? That's your opinion over millions of others who think x ruleset(s) is fun over the other(s). Some prefer going by what TPC's rules (which varies from rated battles to VGC), while others prefer Smogon's rules. Heck some like playing both VGC's and Smogon's metagames for example. Or let me put it this way: What you think about x rules "ruining the fun" isn't the same as thousands of others who think the rules you see as "ruining the fun", but instead they see it as fun. (Or simply like them over the other.) I've gone and played VGC and have gone to events such as Nintendo World release parties, and it's quite entertaining talking to others about the metagame. Short, sound and sweet, looks like some forgot about preferences. Let alone that Pokemon can be taken competitively. (Then why the firetruck VGC exists then?) I'll take my leave, I thought my last statement was enough till "unspecified rules" happened.

And now you bring opinions into it, in which case you're acting as if an opinion on pointless rules overrides yours or even hundreds of others opinions. I just stated that rules are pointless, and clearly made it an opinion, but according to several others, opinions like mine and Metal Snake's are apparently wrong to be said in the first place. I dun see your point on telling me this if you're gonna shove the majority opinion over mine as if I should accept their opinions as facts. I hate feeling like I'm being forced to share an opinion that I clearly oppose with my own. That is just ridiculous.

On the note of competitiveness: I never said you couldn't be competitive with Pokemon. It's built for competition, but there's a very fine line between fun competition and being overly, obnoxiously competitive.

To make it clear, my opinion is that rules that ban certain things such as Smogon, are for the overly competitive players, which is just unnecessary to me. It's an opinion that I feel has been long disrespected when I've done nothing to disrespect another opinion.

Issues is its true, people have preferences. Whether you want to accept that or not is not my problem. No one is forcing you to accept x rules over the other. Neither have disrespected you. Infact you did with that last sentence on your previous post before this one. The irony.Fine line between obnoxious and fun in competitive battling? So your telling me it's impossible for players to think very hard on strategies, acustom to certain rules, and not have fun? Did you even read one of my sentences? I have met people who have a great time discussing about it? Pretty sure it's possible...Also it's called debates and discussions. Notice how I never acted like some on FB (not limited to there) on shoving x rules through their throats. I stated reasons on how I can see why the qualified voters went in favor in banning M-Lucario+Genesect. (And I bothered more on the forner because I was lazy to bother the latter.) Then came debate, but it's normal for that to happen, just look at M-Gengar's or M-Kang's respective threads on Smogon. A lot of debate and discussion. I even said I didn't care much if luke got banned or not; I just discussed why I saw the voters went in favor for the boot.If discussion and/or debating (without the bashing or name callling) isn't favorable, please do tell mods. I didn't think I couldn't discuss a ban or not, or the essentials of rules, whether I like it or not. (Hell I even said I pass twice) Besides me going off topic here, or kinda off since it's about rules, except not what the OP wanted about the rules. You get my point.Edit: Now I feel like Metalsnake; I better stop before Shana kills me.

You know what I hate in Pokemon? Rules...Rules are pointless, use what you want, when you want. No need to ruin the fun of a brilliant game.

Look, rules are needed,no one can deny that and there has to be some restrictions especially in tournaments

The biggest problem is when the banning banwagon go overboard and ban stuff that isn't even that hard to beat to begin with

Heck Mega Scizor has way more defense than Mega Lucario and that's combined with it's high attack stat, will Mega Scizor go Uber next time?
