Key people at Square Enix stated in 2010 that they would like to do 3D remakes of V, VI and Before Crisis on handhelds but would first have to look at the hardware. It's been about four years now, and since then Square Enix have shifted their focus to iOS and Android. Square Enix have already expressed interest in releasing VII on iOS and Android after just finishing The After Years and VI on iOS and Android.
While I'd love to see 3D remakes for these three games. 3D remakes for V and VI seem unlikely at this stage. And a 3D remake for Before Crisis seems much more likely to release on iOS and Android than handhelds (it was released on Mobile Phones after all).
