The master sword in the Legend of zelda is losing its hold on the timeline?

Posted

I have been thinking about the zelda series lately and the thing that I noticed is that the master sword is used less as you go the end of all three timelines. In the Adult era the master sword stayed in Ganondorf's head as water started to flood the old kingdom. In the Adult era, The master sword killed the ganondorf in TP and then the sword in put back in the pedestal where it sleeps to this day. The the Fallen hero timeline the last known user of the master sword is the Link in a Link between worlds. (Spolier Alert!, Spolier Alert!)The sword in this era was used to defeat Yuga-ganon in Lorule as the final boss of the game.It was never used again in the timeline again. What do you guys think about this problem comment below.

They just probably don't want to over do it with the Master Sword, though ithe Master Sword being used less in some of the timelines is quite understandable.

In the AT, the History of the Wars over the Triforce came to a end as mention in Hyrule Historia, so there is no more need for the Master Sword, since the sword is part of the history of those wars, along the Incarnation of the Demon King's Hatred, and the Golden Goddesses

In the DT, the knowledge is simply lose, by the time of ALttP, the Hylian race is pretty much extinct, and the only thing that remains about there history is the Royal Family, the desire for the Triforce, and the little bits of information of the Master Sword, that is kept by Saharasla and his wife, it is no surprise that after they died and the descendants of their ALBW descendants, probably didn't care anymore or were simply killed before they were able to pass on their knowledge, so the knowledge of the Sword of Evil's Bane was lost.

In the CT, the Master Sword simply didn't appear because FSA, made you think that the main baddie was Vaati and not Ganon, The Master Sword will probably return in the game that goes after, the one which would be the FSA sequel, unless Ganon breaks the Four Sword when he escapes/is freed from the seal. This timeline is also still more connected to the war over the Triforce, the Incarnation of the Demon King's Hatred, and the Golden Goddesses, so the Master Sword should still have a strong hold over this timeline, even though it is the only where it still has.

What if their was a sequel to Twilight Princess. I wonder if it would involve the master sword?

Depends of where it goes. If it goes after TP, but before FSA and doesn't has Ganon as the main villain, then no, we will probably not see it. Though if it occurs after FSA and after Ganon breaks free of the FS seal, then it will probably appear.

I'm a little confused because some people like me say that the new game will come out as a sequel to TP but a prequel to FSA. Others like you say that the new game will come after FSA which does makes scene. If you look at the timeline, you'll see a big gap between TP and FSA. Some fans like me think that it's going to take place there because of unanswered questions in previous zelda games havn't answered. Ether way the game is going to be awesome.

Though a game between TP and FSA, cannot have Ganon and therefore the Master Sword, unless he is killed at the end of game or he somehow survived from TP, since he needs to be the dead for the origin of FSA Ganondorf make sense. Nintendo could always surprise and throw us to the AT, and show us the big technological advance, Hyrule Historia mentioned, that occured in New Hyrule.

I just hope we see the Master Sword, it would be its first appearance in HD(not counting WWHD, since it is a remake), plus it is the only suitable weapon for Link to do his first HD adventure. Though I don't really care where the game occurs, but I would really love to see a game occuring in the Era of the Goddess Hylia, in the war against Demise, hopefully Hyrule Warriors is this game.
