How i found out? Through Wikipedia. For some strange reason, something told me to watch it, even though i didn't want to, yet i should. This, of course, was a long time ago (i looked it up in 2013, i believe).
So yesterday (not a long time ago, but literally yesterday), i asked my mom to rent Carrie from Redbox. She wondered why. Then i gave her my reason. She just said, "Whatever." And got it. After we finished shopping (me, my parents, and my friend Elssie), we went to watch it.
My friend Elssie (who was with me for a sleepover), my brother Michael, and my parents watched it with me. I wasn't even scared one bit (except at some parts, of course). While we were watching it, i was thinking of Namine. Then i was thinking, "Man, i'm so messed up." After watching it, my parents said that it should've ended differently. I'll tell you why through spoiler tags.
Here's what had happened, of course (spoilers for those who haven't seen it):
Sue visits Carrie's grave and places a single white rose by the headstone. As she leaves, the gravestone's surface begins to break.
Here's what they said should've happened (i'm not lying):
Nine months later, Sue has her newborn child, who somehow had telekinesis as well. Sue then names the baby Carrie. (They actually said this. I'm not kidding.)
But i looked up Carrie again and saw that the Blu-ray dvd of Carrie had an alternate ending, and it went like this (again, spoilers for those who haven't watched Carrie):
The gravestone crack and the court speech are not present. Sue is in the hospital trying to deliver her newborn baby. When the baby is about to come out, a bloody hand bursts out from her vagina and grabs Sue. She wakes up; screaming in fear and her mom tries to comfort her since the nightmare is over. A subliminal image reveals Carrie, bloody in her prom dress, holding Sue's infant daughter.
I can't believe that i can still sleep at night while trying not to think of that movie, even though Elssie (who had watched 5 times) said that it was just like a thriller, nothing more. This reminds me of the time i played the The Witch's House and said that i could still sleep at night. So what do you think, guys?
