I'm worried I won't enjoy my life

Posted

I have always had problems socializing with people, and it's my life been pretty boring so far. I never have any friends over since a couple years ago, I very rarely do anything with friends outside of school, and I've never had a girlfriend. If I keep up what I'm doing now and not socialize very much, I'll never get to do normal things a teenager does. All I really want in my life is to have fun with friends, because even though thats happened only a few times for me, they were the best times of my life.

This is essentially me and I think I'm doing pretty alright. Hell, I'm older than you by three years and I still don't have a license or even a cell phone. You really shouldn't worry about stuff like this at 15, just wait a while. I guarantee you'll probably be free to do whatever you want before I will, at the very least.

Well , I am not sociable at all ,if that makes it any better . I prefer being with my family . And about the girlfriend matter , I've never had one and I am not going to . It's a waste of time . So ,yeah, I am not really able to give you any advice .

Don't worry too much about being single if that's what it is. I'm your age too. And i've been single my entire life. It's fine to date in college or never date someone in high school. I've had problems in the social world as well, but I've gotten better at it. It's mostly because i've changed my environment a ton. And even though i only have like 6 or 7 friends right now, i think i'm having a pretty normal life.

And that's one solution: change your environment. Go and do more things with your friends, eat with them more often. No, i'm not saying for you to barge in their houses to eat with them, i mean go hang out with them at lunchtime at school. Go do stuff in the weekends, hang out on Fridays. I know, it's harder than it seems. But work at it and you'll eventually find the answer. I live in a boarding school currently, so that's how i've gotten over my problems with socialization. Maybe you can do something like that too. No, i don't mean change schools or anything drastic like that, but something small is fine. Change your lifestyle for the better if you wish
