Concerning The Amazing Spider Man 2...

Posted

Hey there everyone, how's it going?  As you know, this year we'll bear witness to the second chapter in Mark Webb's epic reboot of the Spider Man film franchise, and well, just looking at the trailers makes me all the more excited for it, and the fact that they're now following the comics more closely, it makes it even better!  Honestly, this movie looks to top out the first Amazing Spider Man in every possible way! Anyways, what I wanted to speak of is concerning Gwen.  We know that she's Peter's true love, and well...in the comics...she meets a cruel fate.  And well...I'm getting the icky feeling that she'll die in this movie.  Now that'd be sad! But seeing as how it's happened in the comics, it's guaranteed to happen in the film.  I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling she'll die in this movie.  And seeing the Green Goblin in the trailers only makes my theory more correct, and Norman's specific quote that said: "Not everyone gets a happy ending."  Oi, even though I know what'll happen, I'm still feeling anxious to know if it'll happen in the film!  Thoughts on this anyone?

I hope it wont suck.

TBH, I've never been a comic book reader so whatever I know I got from the cartoons (90s ver. was my fave, even though I'm sure it was the most inaccurate) and movies but, damn, poor Spidy. he falls for Gwen, she dies, he heals, moves on, falls for MJ, then she dies too.

You know, this is one of the reasons why Spider Man is my favorite Marvel character.  He has the biggest enemy roster, and every enemy he encounters affects him at a personal level, and well, the poor dude has had a conflicted life.  Just goes to show you how human he really is, which is something that can be related to many people. Spider Man is awesome, nuff said. :)

If I remember correctly, I believe Spiderman was one of the first IF NOT the FIRST comic book superhero to show human weakness and basically be relateable to the readers. Comic book heroes before him never lost. Never failed. Peter fails quite often and how he deals with it is what makes him grow. Mature. Become stronger.
