MGSV: GZ Method Applied to KHIII?

Posted

So I played Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes yesterday- personally I feel it's a beautiful game but there's literally about 15 minutes of story cutscenes for $30. Besides this it's a great game, just short and lacking an overarching plot- so now I'm wondering what if other companies do this?

Release the beginning of your game as a standalone, then release the rest of it later. With Kingdom Hearts III, this would mean releasing the first world on a disc as a $30 standalone title

It would be like Station of Awakening and Destiny Islands from the original as it's own game, or the 6 days in Twilight Town from Kingdom Hearts II

Just some food for thought- I'm bored

Ha! There would be riots . I disapprove of this idea since we have waited long enough for KH3 that we deserve better and Nomura knows this especially considering it's the last game of the Xehanort Saga .Expectations are high .

How come as soon as one person does this, everyone else automatically assumes everyone else will too?

Okay I'm a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan and this is what i have to say about this. Just because Hideoi Kojima and Konami did this for MGS5 doesn't mean that other companies will just do the same. That's flawed logic. If you've been reading the interviews with Kojima, he stated that the reason why MGSV: Ground Zeroes and MGS5: Phantom Pain are in seperate discs is because they couldn't fit everything into one disc.

Nah. Ground Zeroes already got a ton of flack for costing 40 bucks and being able to be beaten in under an hour or so, so I don't think SE would want to go down that route. A free demo on PSN or the Xbox Live Arcade a month or two before release date would be the much better way to go.

Lol, it can be beaten in 10 minutes if you speedrun it.
