As some of you know, the Kagerou Project Anime was released yesterday. If you want to read the Kagerou Days manga...

Read it here– http://www.mangahere.com/manga/kagerou_days/

Here is actually an English subbed version of the anime– http://www.lovemyanime.net/mekakucity-actors-episode-1/

Don't read this spoiler unless you have seen all the songs, read all the manga so far, and seen the anime episode...you have been warned.

I love how the ending/opening represents the songs. It is amazing. The part where it shows "Kuroha" catches me because they hint route XX of the show.

Also, I have always shipped Haruka x Takane...and when Haruka died, I swear I was crying. I hate it that they show like two seconds of Haruka in his little hospital bed and then Konoha being all sad on the ground. I wanted to cry ;~; so much.

This anime is going to be like...really...really sad. Mostly because of the Haruka, Ayano, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.

I watched it last night, I'm liking it so far! I discovered the Kagerou Project through JubyPhonic's English covers of the songs (they're really good, especially as far as fandubs go). I haven't read the manga, but I did read up on the basics of the story. I'm definitely excited to see how this anime goes. :D

Mekaku City Actors is an anime based off of a song series, novel, and manga, the Kagerou Project, or Kagerou Daze.

It was animated by SHAFT and the anime started on April 12th, 2014, and ended...well today, June 28th, 2014.

This is the main discussion for the anime and project, and I am willing to answer questions because I am very knowledgeable about the series.

Please put spoilers in spoiler tags.

Well, I'm pretty sure the last episode releases today, I haven't seen it yet, but I'm excited.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. The characters were good (my faves were definitely Takane and Haruka), and it had a unique premise and plot. It's the first anime I've seen by Shaft, and I like their style.

Really, the only negatives I have are 1) I think the series would really have benefited from having 20-26 episodes to work with. They've done well adapting the story, but honestly I feel that its ending is going to be very abrupt. I was really hoping there would be an entire episode dedicated to Outer Science and the plot associated with it. (Again, I haven't seen the last episode, so maybe...). 2) The 3D CG opening of Ayano's Theory of Happiness episode was really off putting. I get what they were trying to do, but the animation was just so terrible and unsettling (at least in my opinion), that all the symbolism behind it was overshadowed by pure displeasure at what I was watching.

Also, I've read that the manga (and possibly the light novel, I don't remember) are getting localized, which is awesome! I'll definitely be purchasing them.

It's kinda annoying that you have to watch the songs and read the manga or novel to catch on to what they're talking about in the anime, but MCA was enjoyable, especially with SHAFT animating it @w@ and it cleared up a lot of crap I didn't know prior to watching it.
