So. I might have a rare disorder.

Whenever I think about my finger nails, or when they're being cut, I salivate.

Has ANYONE had this before, or is it a thing?

Have you guys even known about this?

I've looked it up, and it looks like it's not a thing.

This is so confusing. >.<

Eh, you probably just have Pica or something

I might have Pica. I'm not sure. I don't feel the urge to want to eat it, though.

It's not life-threatening, as far as I know (it shouldn't be)

Maybe you are hungry or something ?

Why would it suddenly come up?

It confuses me so much.

Even after I ate, it happened.

There is the chance something happened and you were classical conditioned.Basically when Pavlov was working in a research lab he was in charge of bringing food to the dogs. And he rang a dinner bell ever time he was coming to give them food. After a while he noticed them salivating at the mere sound of the bell. They were conditioned to associate the noise of the bell with eating.

Good news, if it is classical conditioning, eventually it should go extinct by it self, as long as it isn't reinforced.

And if it was closer to Pica, it could have its origin of you being low in a nutrient. So, it MAY be possible to counteract it if you get rid of the deficiency.Find web pages like this, and then eat foods that encourage hair/fingernail growth, because those probably would be the nutrients you are lacking if you are needing nutrients from fingernails.http://www.livestrong.com/article/275648-foods-to-help-grow-hair-fingernails/
