I've tried twice now and the second time I got him under 30 k hp but then the troll used Whirl and then Meteor within like 5 seconds of each other and it killed my whole party...how do I stop this or kill him before he can do it...oh and I don't have dualcast because I didn't give palom and porom enough auguments which probably makes this fight alot harder.

So what auguments you do have and for who? Will be easier to help that way.

Anyway, wait before activating the crystal, don't buff anyone though, but if Kain has darkness+focus, than use darkness and focus 3 times, then wait for his ATB bar to be full, and use the crystal.

Here is what you need to do:

Kain - Jump, don't use focus after the first 9999 hit, maybe darkness if it goes off.

Rydia - Summon Bahamut

Cecil - Attack or help for defence when needed.

Edge-Just throw the knifem shurikens, fuma shurikens, and if your supply is over, than weapons.

Rosa - Curaja and Blink/Protect/Shell/Haste, I hope that you have omnicast for her, because if not, than just use curaja(and maybe if it can be for everyone, than use protect and shell, but I don't remember)

Don't worry for using a mega-elixlirs, use them if you need to(or elixlir)

His black hole removes slow(and negative status in general) from him, so he should do this if only he has omni casting and high hp.

I do have omnicast equipped to Rosa, and I usually use the item (can't remember what it's name is right now) that cast slow on him to get a little extra damage on him before he uses Black Hole, I have both HP and MP+50% I didn't get phoenix because I forgot to give Fusoya another augument...anyway right now my team is

Cecil lv. 72-7200 Hp, 290 Mp and has the auguments HP+50%, Draw attacks, and counter though I remove draw attacks for white magic when I fight Zeromus

Rosa lv 71-3350 Hp, 460 Mp and has Omnicast equipped

Rydia lv 70-3300 Hp, 720 Mp and has MP+50% and Stardust rod equipped as an item

Edge lv 69-3500 Hp, around 200 Mp and has Bless

and Kain lv 70-4000 Hp, 89 MP and will have darkness equipped

 

And yes I have all the ultimate weapons you get from the final dungen and the two Ribbons.

wow, your are a lot overleveled, you soon get to the levels (or alredy in) where you get stats depending on your augments(leave that, it's for NG+) .

Anyway, white magic is useless in fights with cecil, so it's better equip him with another aougment.

And that little  dmg doesn't worth it at the start, only after the first cast.

Your level is high enough to kill him without too much problemts though.

when you reach less than 30,000, wait for the kain and edgar to reach to full ATB bar, than attack with RydiaCecil, the one who do less dmg(not including rosa), also, omni cast haste, slow and shell, there isn't  black hole when his hp are less than 30,000. Use the knife for this,  use kain jump , and then RydiaCecil(depands on who reduced his hp to 30,000).

You may want to use a guide for your next FF-even though the DS remade version is the pretty much the hardest FF, you still don't want it to happen again.

If you bombard him quick enough, literally the only thing that should hit you is Meteor...and even then you have Shell to protect you (somewhat) from that.

Beat him he was pretty easy besides Meteor because I forgot to use shell haha
