I must say that I have played through Final Fantasy I through to X. I've watched XII and XIII on youtube so I know the story (roughly)

Recently, I've got a lot of inspiration to create my own Final Fantasy (Its just a shame I don't work in Square Enix, although if I ever did - i'd rather be in the music and sound dept rather than production.

Eitherway, please hear me out!! (remember the following is in NO-WAY official FF stuff) ~ This is just an intro of my ideas, I will be posting more stuff in this link every now and then regarding character development, plotline and I might even compose a few 'scenario music themes'.

PART 1: WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF ERRETIA

A world of much beauty, forged from the womb of her grace - Fabula, keeper of destinies and goddess of fate. From her love she birthed the four crystals of essence of which sustain the world that is Erretia.

In legend it was also said that Fabula, though she is the creator of the world and all its people - she was subjected to much solemness and solitude as she was in a different realm to that of the living, some people called the place that she resides in the 'Garden of Eden'. Since time immemorial, her duty has been to guide the fates of countless lives in silence - the life experiences and memories gained from the people who have died in turn flow back into her through the ethereal flow of 'Vitae' and she in turn uses them to shape the future of those yet to be. It is also said that the crystals are the key to entering her sacred realm where she might gift her visitor/s with her divine knowledge and love.

The 4 Crystals of Essence

The Erretia of my Final Fantasy is once again governed by the 4 crystals of essence:

  • The Kingdom of Celestia: whose forefathers devised a way to use the magic of their crystal and conceive levitation through the miracles of the 'Ventus Vitrum'. (The name of wind Crystal) This mighty kingdom share a close affinity with creatures of the sky (Such as the Zu) as well as Wyrms and Dragons.
  • The Kingdom of Eoseulia: the largest of the 4 kingdoms - heralded by magnificent advances in technology and medical prowess. It is said that the only incurable ailment in this country is the condition known as 'death' - this mighty kingdom houses the "Aqua de Cristal" (The name of the Water Crystal) as the heirloom of the Royal Family. (Please note that the reverse is also true, if Eoseulia can produce potent medicines - they can also produce potent poisons.)
  • Dominia Ambrosia: Igniting the flame of life - it is said that the czities here never sleep as festivities occur all year around except for 'that period' where people call it the 'calm'. The royal family which once governed this land has decided to renounce their position of power in live life their people. It is said the best performers come from this delightful city. The Crystal's original name has been lost for centuries as the people now call it the "Ambrosian Flame" - its flame eternal.
  • The lost city of Eztar: Home to massive amounts of magical knowledge and wielder of the arcane arts, the people of this city are very sensitive to the flow of Vitae - By picking up disturbances, they can tell when the power of either of the 4 Crystals are at its peak or at its weakest. Furthermore, it is said that some from this city wield the powerful art of Summoning Phantasms, grand creatures of lore made real through the miracle of this country's crystal the "Daichi Kessho" (Earth Crystal). These Phantasms have been called the Scions, the Eidolons or even the Aeons and have been depicted in the bedtime stories of children. But these 'Phantasms are very rarely sighted now as only very little of the populace of Eztar have inherited this ability with the highest concentration of summoners within the Royal blood of Eztar. The art of summoning wanes in favour of the more simplistic Black/White/Red mages.

Each of the four crystals have a period of waxing and waning which comes about roughly once every 50 years, the effect lasting anywhere between 6 months to 3 years.

  • When the Ventus Vitrum wanes, the great city of Celestia is said to land on the ground (An amazing sight), also during this time Wind magic all around the world is said to be decreased in effectiveness.
  • When the Aqua de Cristal wanes, the Fountain of Azoth Eoseulia (supplier of magical healing water) ceases to flow.
  • When the Ambrosian Flame wanes, the people call this period the 'calm' - food and entertainment become scarce
  • When the Daichi Kessho wanes, summoning is made very difficult (it is possible but take massive amounts of vitality in this period - plus any summoned Phantasms have only 1/4 of their full strength) while spells that can be cast have been reduced to the baser spells (i.e. Cure/Fire/Blizzard...etc)

A bit of History

The story starts with the 4 countries in perfect harmony with each other until suddenly the King of Eoseulia passes away from unknown reasons, and Lord Alexander (Old friend and loyal Advisor to the late king of Eoseulia) takes the throne in place of the Crown Prince Skye (back then was a small child with no knowledge of the affairs outside of Eoseulia). Now under the Reign of Lord Alexander, The renamed 'Empire of Eoseulia', launches a full scale assault on Eztar during the waning period of the Earth Crystal. The Eoseulian soldiers used weapons imbued with lethal poisons, wiping out its Royal family and all of their Populace, they claimed the Earth Crystal for themselves. Since Eztar relied on magiks as a source of healing, during this time spells like Cura, Curaga and Curaja weren't able to be cast due to the waning of the Daichi Kessho, furthermore the waning of the Crystals power renders spells like Esuna less effective against the lethal poisons of Eoseulia.

The attack was planned as the Kingdom of Eoseulia waited for a period where the Crystal of Earth would be at its weakest and therefore the power of magic at its least effective potential. The Kingdom of Eoseulia with now two crystals in their keep would plot to overthrow the other 2 nations and make Erretia their own land.

Who is Lord Alexander and why is he doing this....?

Where the my Story begins

The attack launched against Eztar by Eoseulia happened 15 years ago...
It was assumed all was culled from the City of Eztar, but a young boy was able to escape - Now 18 years of age, he cast away his true name in favour of an Alias 'Aaron', guided by his guardian and mystic friend named Eric (whom for some reason does not age), they begin their quest to claim back their Crystal from the clutches of Eoseulia.

Does this sound like something that would come from a Final Fantasy story??

I already have some of the scenarios planned out like Cactuars, Chocobos, and also the mystery behind the Phantasms...I've also tried to make Lord Alexander a mysterious antagonist....
I've introduced 3 potential protagonist characters here: Skye, Aaron and Eric. I've already made up the other 6 characters that will be in my Final Fantasy as well as their classes (I.e. Knight, Summoner, Theif, Beast-master, Paladin, White Mage...etc you get the idea)

stay tuned for more
