as in like a remake or a sequel like black and white 2.

 

for me, i REALLY want it to be a remake BUT also have another story arc that continues after the post game. so like when your done with the original, then theres another story arc explaining groudon's and kyogre's new looks and to deliver a new experience. like an extended story. maybe depending on the version you got, team aqua/magma succeeded and covered Hoenn in land/water (again, depending on the version you got) i would buy and LOVE the game either way, this is just how i would prefer it.

 

what i think will happen is that it is just a simple remake with no new story.

i think this becouse if it is a sequel, younger pokemon fans (unless there really hardcore) wont know whats going on becouse they havent played the original ruby and sapphire and if that happened it would certainly bite gamefreak in the butt. the reason i dont tink it will have an extended story is 

1. becouse the game's release date is november and i dont think thats enough time to make a new adventure.

and 2. becouse its an unnecessarily large amout of extra work that would be irrational becouse the game would already sells tons anyway.

It may just be a big reboot, like SoulSilver/HeartGold. Neither of them were sequels per se, and yet they were still excellent reboots of the really early Pokemon games.

 

Besides that, I am fairly sure X and Y were made in a fairly short development time. For these new games, all that would have to be done is update the visuals of the normal terrain (as all the pokemon are already in 3D-Models) and add a few extra things here and there.

 

I do hope though they add a lot more things to do via online though..

Well they said it was a "dramatic new world", so maybe the storyline just got modified. I think this because of the boxart, look at Groudon & Kyogre, they look sort of different, maybe they now get a Mega Evolution? Maybe?. In case it is only a remake I think they'll be remakes with Emerald stuff(storyline, gym leaders, champion, etc.) like HeartGold & SoulSilver(they had the storyline from crystal)… But if I am incorrect I will only expect the best of the game…

A remake with an extended subquest, like the Sevii Islands. That'd be pretty cool.

But they could extent the hoenn pokedex (but only the evolutions of the hoenn pokes) and extended story lines as post game optionals.

 

I'd also love to see new towns and an extended world (maybe even more gyms where you can choose which 8 to challenge).

Both teams are evil

Groudon and Kyogre are awakened and fight and have to be calmed down by rayquaza (and afterwards you catch one)

Battle Frontier 

PokeNav with Cell phone functions

but I do hope they have both, all original contest halls and battle tents

Secret bases

I just hope the ultimate Hoenn game combo will be:

omegaruby, alphasapphire and the original emerald version

 

 

Also: did I mention I want Brendan and May back?

Concerning their design, limited customizing would be cool like choosing from old styles (like in the gba versions) and new updated styles and also between r/s and emerald styled clothes and maybe the colors (red/blue/green) would be cool

 

What would rock: some pokes that follow behind the trainer

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Generation 3 had vivid deep colors and the hoenn Pokémon look awful in XY.

I hope they return to richer and darker colors for this region and I hope they keep a steady over world (only hoenn had a world that did not need to refresh screens between towns)

They might even let us access mor of the islands to the south and remember faraway island? It was not not on the map pf hoenn, so maybe it is part of the decolora isles and maybe we can go thee post-game like the sevii islands (based on the orange islands).

again, you took the words right out of my mouth. but the pokenav with cellphone function needs to have a "block all calls that aren't story relevant" option.

 

and i like the models of x and y. i think the GBAs pack better colors, but i dont think x and y is ugly.

The worst thing is I made a mistake about the whole sequels thing. I keep forgetting that Gold/Silver are essentially sequels to Red/Blue and those games were cool. I guess I just don't want to see an X-2 and Y-2 or something when I mean sequels
