Ah yes, inFAMOUS. Sucker Punch's current mealticket and one of the best damn Playstation-exclusive series out right now. A tale about superpowers, monsters, soldiers, government conspiracies, science gone bad, explosions, kickassery, and the most important element: giving players the choice to either become a hero or villain and using their badass superpowers for good or evil.

 

I've played the first game, am playing the second game as well as the Festival of Blood stand alone title (by the way, pretty damn funny while at the same time blood-suckingly brutal), and have high hopes to purchase the already fantastic PS4 title in Second Son.

 

This series is underrated IMO, and needs a bit more recognition. I know one or two people that can vouch for me on that.

 

And I'm ballsy enough to even say this series is on par with SP's other brainchild, Sly Cooper. :P

But when the sequel (Second Son) is solely based off of the good ending, it just makes you feel like the evil ending (which had so much more story potential in my opinion) was pointless, which it was. With Infamous 1, the outcome didn't change much at all depending on your actions, so it didn't really matter what happens in Infamous 2, because it still could have went either way. The endings in InFamous 2 were super different & the sequel was only built off of one of those endings, leaving you to wonder what could have been had they gone with the other. The title is a bit misleading, because at the end of the day, you're the good guy, even if you chose to be the bad guy, because they can only go off one ending & they chose the good one. There is no point in having two endings, if you are just going to make one not canon.

 

Like I said. DLC. Nuff said.
