I Think MGSV: PP Might Possibly Become The Best MGS Game Since MGS3

Posted

It's possible that Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain might possibly be one of the best MGS games since MGS3: Snake Eater. And the reason I say that is because from all the info I've read about the game so far. I mean, I'm reallydigging the who thing with the wheather changing in real time. That's a HUGE step in the MGS series because it can either be used as a tactical advantage in stealth or somehow screw you over if you're not careful of your surroundings. Plus, I love the idea of having day and night go by in real time. I also love how they're going to bring back the Peace Walker mechanic back where you can bring enemy soldiers to your base via fulton recovery (and animals too). Though I really love how you can add weapons to your base because from what I've read Kojima said that depending on who you kill or not kill you will have rivalries with that said person. That will really be a great way to strategize on making your base really good. Now there has to be one more thing they should add to make MGSV: PP possibly surpass MGS3, and that's having different camo's for whatever area you're in. That's what I really love about MGS3 Unlike the other MGS games you actually had to use different kinds of camo depending on the area you were in. It really made sneakung much more tactical and fun. I would love to see that make a return in MGSV.

So what are your thoughts on these new mechanics on MGSV: Phantom Pain?

Mmmm that's really debatable at this point

The fact that Ground Zeroes could've been easily....EASILY be included with the Phantom Pain but instead they split it into 30$+60=90$ deal(the price of the two combined) kinda left a bitter taste in my mouth ....not for PP....but for what Kojima Productions are thinking of

That's like taking the tanker chapter from MGS 2,sell it as it's own game for 30$ and then the rest of the game with Raiden for 60$.

I'm gonna enjoy the Phantom Pain without a doubt since I loved almost every MGS game in the series(except Portable Ops and Ground Zeroes)...but for me Metal Gear Solid 3 will always remain the best MGS game in my eyes

Uh...yea.

Best since MGS3? 4 isn't exactly hard to top.

Well 4 was 85% cutscenes so........yeah

Best movie we ever played I guess

I was referring more to the overall plot and characters.  The gameplay was pretty good, but otherwise it fell pretty flat on it's face.  Definitely My least favorite in the series.

Well yeah that is true. But that was due to the fact that they couldn't fit both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain into one single disk. So I can understand why they had to make them into seperate games since video game development is difficult.

Well MGS3 beats MGS4 in terms of plot because it had an overall better writing.

Dude it's bullshit what they said Ground Zeroes could've easily....EASILY fit in the same disc as The Phantom Pain....it's just a ONE HOUR FREAKIN GAME how can't they put it in the same disc as the Phantom Pain

That's like saying the Tanker chapter in MGS2 can't fit in the same disc as the Plant chapter with Raiden

That's PR bullshit they always say and brag how next gen consoles will ease the development of their games

I'm still a huge fan of MGS but I won't accept the bullshit just because Kojima

Angry Joe here summed it up
