The "Recusant" concept in Kingdom Hearts (clarify / theories)

Well, the Recusant's sigil was introduced in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance as a symbol created by Xehanort to represent the rejection of a Nobody from his original persona, right? Though, according to YMX's statement, it can be used to track down a person's movements when this person is marked with the sigil. "Recusant" is a latin word by the meaning of "protest", hence Recusant could refer to a dissenting, an heretic or a protestant. These words fit with Xehanort's tendency to reject his real name and this tendency prompted him to change his name, once turned into a Nobody, to Xemnas: an anagram of Ansem, the name he uses to choke his real name, with the addition of an "X" (well he adds "X" to his Nobody name to symbolize the rejection of his original persona but his real name has an "X" inside as well, LOL ). But by "Recusant", we could refer to Xehanort's ideals, those that pushed him to pursue the Darkness path, that made him kind of a "Heretic" to the "common" thoughts of the people who pursue the Light path. The correctness of this last concept could be proven by Xemnas' sentence before his fight against Sora: "As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that... of a recusant". I think this sentence might mean that, since Sora was marked by the Recusant's Sigil, he was fated to become a "Recusant", namely, one of Xehanort's Darknesses, hence, another one being "Heretic" to the "common" current of thought. Is it all correct so far? One thing I wanted to clear up, because I'm not totally sure: was the fact that Xehanort choked his real name with Ansem's, merely a symbolization of his new beginning as the "Seeker of Darkness", or was it an externalization of contempt for his past self, maybe for his failures? I yet have to fully comprehend Kingdom Hearts X story, but do you think the sixth follower is a "Recusant", somehow connected to Xehanort's knowledge and fixation over the Keyblade War? So, what you guys think about the "Recusant" concept in the Kingdom Hearts Saga and how do you think this concept will be reintroduced in Kingdom Hearts III?

I think that by calling himself Ansem, he was actually trying to defame and discredit the original Ansem. Say I was the original Ansem and you were the amnesiac Xehanort who landed in Radiant Garden. After several years you start to disagree with e,a nd you want to get revenge as badly as you can, so not only do you banish me to the realm of darkness, but you start calling yourself by my name, so people associate the good things I did and the bad things you're doing with the same name and I loose all respect in everyone's mind.

Yea I thought that too, but with the time I started to think that there is much more behind that act than pure revenge, it's not in Xehanort's style xDEdit: Well, the Recusant's Sigil represent a Nobody's rejection from his original persona so, the fact that he changed his name, once he turned Nobody, in an anagram of Ansem with the addition of the Recusant's Sigil, made me start to think that he might have done it because he feel contempt towards his past self, not because he wanted revenge on Ansem
