So according to Master yin sid, riku have been declared "the new true keyblade master". Therefore he has the power to dive into others hearts alongside the hearts of worlds. Since sora failed his mark of mastery examination, did he not gain the ability to do the same? Because it would make a whole lot more since for sora to dive into his own heart to find ventus instead of riku, who has nothing to do with ventus. I believe riku should somehow find a wayto dive into master xehanorts heart . Can someone clear this up for me please, this whole sora riku new abilities thing.

So it's more lkely that Sora will save Roxas, as well as other people who are strongly connected to him like Namine and Ventus.  Plus it is even more likely that Sora will save everybody who got affected by Xehanort's actions. This is supported by the ending of recoded and with the cutscene in DDD with Riku and Ansem the wise.

Thanks guys! I really was confused with whether riku had the power or sora, but as you both said they both do.

It will have to be a team effort between Aqua, Sora and Riku. Aqua to lead Sora to Ven and Riku to remove Ven's heart from Sora and transfer it back to Ven (it seems only Masters can actually remove hearts) then maybe Sora will give Ven's heart the final jolt to wake his heart up. Or maybe Sora will wake Ven's heart and then Riku can transfer it. Either way, I think all three will be needed.

If Riku is the one to save most (if not all) of the BBS protagonists and Sora takes little to no action all because of a mere ranking then I for one think that would suck. ESPECIALLY because Roxas/Ventus is a part of SORA! Not Riku. Riku doesn't have nearly as much to do with Ventus than Sora does. I can understand if he's the one to save Terra  (Somehow ) because him and Terra have much more history than Sora and Terra do. In fact it doesn't make any sense for Sora to save Terra in my eyes. I hope it goes like this

 

Sora saves Ventus (or at least have a very large input in saving him)

Riku saves Terra

Kairi saves Aqua (we know that she will have much more significance in the story thanks to DDD's ending and this seems like the perfect way for Kairi's story to go down)

 

Now we just wait to see what happens.

I think what will happen is: Riku, Mickey and Lea will go save Aqua, Lea will join because out of those three, Lea is the only one who can call forth a Corridor to Darkness (To my knowledge, i don't think Mickey can and i know Riku can't because his heart accepted the darkness in KH2) Then Aqua will go with Sora and Lea to Castle Oblivion as Aqua has the Master Keeper and can turn Castle Oblivion back to Land of Departure, Lea knows his way through Castle Oblivion because he was there with the Organisation and as far as i'm aware, hasn't forgotten. Sora will give Ventus' heart back, loses his Key blade for a while. 

I think it'll be teamwork between Aqua, Sora and Riku. Aqua needs to get them to the room Ven is, Riku could go inside Sora's heart to retrieve Ven's heart, and Sora would give it back. Though who knows, Nomura always surprises us.

They'll need Aqua to lead Sora to Ventus and...umm...maybe Aqua could use Master Eraqus' Keyblade to take Ventus's Heart out of Sora and give it back to Ven.

 

Or maybe Sora actually does get the Master Keeper, uses it to get to Castle Oblivion and it leads him to Ven and uses it to extract Ven's Heart and give it back while Riku and King Mickey go and get Aqua.
