This question has been on my mind since I have heard of the name Paper Mario: sticker star. I remember thinking to myself saying, "If sticker star was like the first two games in it's franchise in be 10 times better." To tell the truth, I think that sticker star toke the series into the wrong direction. If there were to be another paper mario game all I can do is hope for it to be a lot better then sticker star,

It was a good game, but not nearly as good as the other three games in the series.

I didn't like it. It was my first Paper Mario game and it disappointed me.

I'd played all the games before Sticker Star, and when I got Sticker Star and played the first few levels, I sold the game back to GameStop. Sticker Star in my opinion is NOT a TRUE PAPER MARIO game! I kept losing stickers to the point where I had none when I had to fight and I ended up being stuck in the game and it was just really terrible! I wanted to like the game so much, but I simply couldn't!

When Sticker Star was first shown as Paper Mario 3DS, I was so excited, especially after I replayed and beat Thousand Year Door and started a yet to be continued Paper Mario 1 playthrough. Then all the sticker gimmicks were revealed as well as the final title. The fact it had no partners disappointed me and the fact all your attacks are ITEMS was a major turn off. Then I found out it had next to no plot and that kept me away from the game altogether. I'm awaiting another game like the first two or something like Super Paper Mario on Wii U now. Oh man the Gamepad could add some real fun with new gimmicks and mechanics.

If you've only played Sticker Star, you have never played a true Paper Mario game. Play Paper Mario 1 and/or Thousand Year Door and then Super Paper Mario.

It was NOWHERE near the word "good". PM: STicker Star was bad because it took away all the elements from the previous PM games. Let me break down the reasons why, imo, it is the worst PM game in the series.

-No story

-No witty or hilarious dialogue

-Lack of exploration and towns

-No badges

-Combat was aweful

-No Partners

-Pointless battles since you don't even get any exp out of them (sure you get coins but they are only used to buy MORE stickers when you can just find a lot of them around the level areas).

-There wasn't even 8 chapters of content like in the previous PM games.

-All the effort was wasted at chapter 3. Which made it short and boring.

-It's impossible to kill bosses without having a specific sticker to beat it.

-There was no post game content or any type of replay value whatsoever.

So there's my 2 cents on why I hate this game and why a lot of people consider it to be bad.

I meant it's good if you don't compare it to the others.

I guess. But for longtime Paper Mario fans this game was badly dissapointing. But here's a fun fact, STicker Star was originally going to use the same gameplay as The Thousand Year Door and have a really well-developed story. But Miyamoto stepped in and told the developers that he didn't want SS to have a story at all and change the gameplay a bit because "it looked too much like TTYD".

That sucks. I would have liked a game like that for 3ds.

Wait wait wait WHAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY LIKE TTYD? I knew Miyamoto had something to do with how Sticker Star sucked, but the fact it was so close to being like TTYD irks me... man I just really hope Paper Mario Wii U is made and is like PM1/TTYD now.

Miyamoto made a huge mistake, and correct me if I'm wrong, but he wanted it to be like NSMB type of game. It would explain why the map is a firetrucking c+p.
