Hello peeps, First i would like to thank you for checking out my idea and you're awesome for it and i hope you stay and read it ^-^Anyways, lets get into this theory of mine. This is something I haven't see any where yet, so if you previously did somthing very similar I apologize for that. So as seen in the title of this, my theory involes time travel. I know the fact that time travel upsets a lot of people for being in the game, and i can't blame you, because its super confusing. Anyways, My idea revolved around the principle that a character can only go back to a tme period where a past version awaits you. I was thinking about how Sora might use time travel to go back in time at Destiny Islands when he was young for what ever reason. This is when I remembered that sora has a part of vens heart inside of him, as well as roxas' because nobodies can grow hearts apperantly. So my theroy/question is that what if sora can use this as a loop hole and kind of cheat this rule. I'll explain. For example if sora can travel back into a point in time when ven terra and aqua are about to face off with xehanort in the keyblade graveyard and meet up with ven. Sora could do this because of vens heart that resides inside of him. Understand what im getting at?so to sum this up, what if characters could use other peoples hearts that reside inside of them to travel to a point in that persons life? I think this could be a very valid point for the story (even though i don't like time travel in the first place ). Thanks for reading and I love feedback of any kind. So say after the 7 Lights lose to the 13 Darknesses at the Keyblade Graveyard in Kingdom Hearts III, Sora just travelled back in time to BbS and prevented Aqua, Terra, and Ven from fighting Xehanort, Vanitas, and Braig in the first place

 

Thus Xehanort's plans come to a screeching halt before even being realized, and in turn preventing the events in Kingdom Hearts, CoM, Days, II, Re:coded, DDD, and even III from ever occurring

All that would be left would be the heart and soul of that person; that could mean that Sora could choose which heart would remain and might be able to travel to that heart's past self. But it's kind of a far stretch. For all we know, a person's entire being needs to be involved, not just their heart. And even if Sora could do this, I don't really think that there's much he could do, as the 3rd rule says that the traveler cannot changed events destined to happen.

maybe not to go back and change events, but gain knowledge or talk to someone in a time period in the past, then somehow return and use this new found knowledge??Its a strech but if xehanort can make mulitiple versions of him self, this could be possible.

I could see him do that too XDand thanks, i try to think out orignal  and not recycled theories that actually have some logic behind them. only problem i have is that if sora gives up his body, one of the best ways he can get back is if he gave a very very young version the ability to time travel while in the past.buuuuut thats  astrech, as all of this time travel mumbo jumbo is.

Wouldn't Sora have released Ven's heart when he sacrificed himself towards the end of Kingdom Hearts 1?

it is evident sora still has vens heart as seen in KH2 and beyond because, sora has the ability to dual weild keyblades because of vens hearts that resides inside of him. Besides if it were that simple, ven would already be awake :pGood question though

I think Sora will use Ven's heart to time travel to pick the time when Xehanort is extracting Ven's darkness, Vanitas. In that way, resulting for the BBS Trio to still be together and will accompany Sora to go back to KH3 timeline for the Keyblade War.

One of the rules of the time traveling is that the time traveler cant directly change the past. Has to be an indirect thing

He could travel back in time to where he was a kid. but he would be just stuck in Destiny Islands.

 

Not to mention the law says you need to have a "body" waiting for you. A body that's yours. Not a heart.

I Don't think this law ever speficifed that you can't do it if its a linked heart so thats why its a theory.Also, it doesn't have to be a direct change. go back and learn somthing or witness somthing that happened. Even though changes reset, their memories going back don't.

Interesting idea by the way, we can never really know for sure whether it would work or not because Nomura seems to enjoy watching our confused running about looking for answers and just turning everything on its head and making us all realise that it is futile to even begin to guess what will happen next, KH3 will probably introduce either a time loop or an alternate reality concept just to screw with us (I hope not though, those are getting a little old and I don't want KH to do what everything else is).
