July 19, 201015 yr Nobodies are only created when a strong hearted person loses their heart to the darkness, which creates a Heartless. Then the empty shell (body and soul = Nobody) left behind begins to act about on it's own. Nomura did hint that like when Xehanort extracted his own heart to forcibly merge with Terra's, a new sentient was created from what he left behind. Since Eraqus "died" in a similar manner, perhaps this secret boss is the entity that was created when MX "killed him". It'd make sense seeing as how the secret boss is at Land of Departure.
July 19, 201015 yr No, Master Xehanort killed master Eraqes. And when he died his heart fused with Terra's heart.

In other words, they lack the thing that makes them "somebodies". Heartless are called heartless because of the metaphorical meaning of the word, in the sense that they are devoid of all emotion.
