Introduction:

We.... are mutants.

Locked away in prisons from the moment we're born... to the moment we die.

A cruel and unusual punishment... for a crime we never commited.

We don't know our families... no, we were ripped away from them before we could even open our eyes.

But still; our padded, locked cells are the only life we know... where we use our powers... and ridiculed even more for it.

What makes a mutant?

Well... see...

As the family tree descends... the bloodline slowly starts to degrade... and the very DNA that makes up our bodies deteriorate... it becomes infected, or it turns in and on itself.

The final result? A really screwy human... we end up with access to strange powers... each specific to each human. How this happens? we really don't know... no one does.

All we know... is that this life of torment needs to end.

NOW.

From afar, Jalo had heard the faint announcement. She had grown to find it annoying, since she had become used to the silence. Come to think, she wondered how far a cell that held another mutant was from her. Then again, she shouldn't think of anything that wouldn't give her answers.

As she stood, Jalo walked over to the wall. Studying it for a moment, she placed her ear against it. She was used to silence, but some noise at least proved that there was life out there. Zoning out, she focused to hear the tiniest vibration echoing in the walls. The announcement that was playing slightly became audible. "..... Escaping, huh...?"

Takun opens his eyes, and a glint of purple are shown in them. Purple sparks flash at the end of his fingertips. Full power, perfect. He rushes out of the bathroom and into a flurry of guards. He accidentally knocks one of them down, and the rest of the guards stop in their tracks and stare at Takun. The knocked-down guard gets back on his feet and says, "What the hell are you doing out of your cell?!". Takun cocks his head to the side and says, "Breaking out, of course." Before the guard could respond, Takun fires a ball of energy at his chest, and it kills him instantly. The other guards bring out their guns and start firing. All of the bullets stop right before they hit Takun, and they slowly begin to form a ball. Once all of the guards run out of rounds, Takun throws the bullet-ball into the multitude, and the bullets separate and hit each one of them. He turns on his heels and dashes off. Phase one, complete

Pat walked down the hall casually, not trying to draw to much attention. A small group of guards saw him and blocked him off. Pat snapped his fingers, and all of them froze. Smiling, Pat carefully pushed through them. "Excuse me." Pat went to continue, but he could hear the screams of pain coming from the guards in the distance, a floor above him. "Is that the person trying to escape?" All the cries went silent. "What is he doing to them?" While listening carefully, he could hear one more thing:

"Oh, hello! Explain to me why I haven't kicked your ass yet?"

Dahlia heard more voices. Louder and louder.

What the heck was going on?

She stood up and started walking slowly to her cell door, peeking through the small window.

She saw the guard that had brough her lunch and unknown boy... a mutant!

Had everyone else been trying to escape?

The guard looked at the mutant boy and took some steps back, afraid. He was dangerous. Unlike the girl she was guarding.

"D-Don't try anything," the guard said, continuing to walk back, ready to run.

The alarm alerted her. She gasped. The sound was all around her. She knew what was up, she just couldn't even believe it. It had to be impossible. One of them escaped? She ran forwards unknowingly towards the unsuspecting guard. He got out his gun. Too late. She accidently head-butted into him. It was extremely painful. Not because she was strong or anything, but the shock that came when the guard on her eyes had touched him. He fell to the ground.

Candle didn't mean to hurt the guard. She realized it though! It was finally her chance to get out! To see the world through real eyes! She ran blindly in front of her, then stopped suddenly. Candle held out her arms. She didn't want to run into any walls now. That would just become a bad thing. She then finally made it out of that cold cell.

"IT IS A MASS ESCAPE. ALL GUARDS SEAL THE EXITS. CODE RED, CODE RED". Takun grins once again as he runs towards one of the prison exits. I've never been this happy in my life, maybe that's why my powers are peaking. He makes a quick left, and sees the door, along with 100 guards. Takun slams his foot on the ground, and the gravity level begins to increase. The guards collapsed on the floor, unable to get up because of the pressure. "See you later, assholes." Takun opens the door to the prison courtyard, where he sees more guards prepared to attack. He sighs, and flies into the air, surprising the guards. "SHOOT HIM!", one yells. A bullet comes flying at him, and hits him in the knee. He begins to decline, and slams into the prison fence.

Aaron took the guards shadow... and promptly hurled her into the wall.

"I didn't even Have to try."

Aaron kept inching foward... until he saw her.

Inside a small cell... he caught glimpse of her, a girl with dark black hair.

He opened her cell door...

"C'mon! lets go!" he screamed, wondering what she was waiting for...

Pat had been walking by, when he saw a man going through the courtyard. There were plenty of guards out there. The guy began to fly, amazing Pat. Suddenly, someone shot him, sending him crashing into the prison fence. I have to do something! Pat ran through the courtyard doors, where the guards were paying attention to the injured boy. Another guard prepared to shoot him again.

"STOP!!!"

All the guards froze in place. One of them got a shot off, but the bullet was just floating in the air, not moving.

The door to her cell suddenly swung open and Dahlia was face to face with the boy.

He was... helping her?

Dahlia was suprised anyone would help her.

She was weak and useless. Her power isn't even all that dangerous. She barely knew how to control it. Most people would've of left her there.

But she was glad.

She could escape!

"T-Thank you!" Dahlia exclaimed, running out her cell.

In their rush to get him held down, the guards had actually only injected a little sedative into Zero- mainly because they had heard the alert and decided that it was much more important than one pretty much powerless teenaged boy. Because Zero had no real offensive powers on his side, he came lower on their list of priorities. The dose of sedative was enough to keep him immobile for a few minutes, but once they were up, Zero weakly started dragging himself towards the door. His body was aching, his head throbbing, because the drug was still moving through his bloodstream and hadn't got anywhere near being completely gone.

To his amusement, Zero noted that the guards had not only neglected to lock his door, but hadn't left any of their number behind- leaving him to traipse along without any interruption while he tried to shake the numbness out of his legs enough that he'd be able to run when the time came. Everything felt sluggish and slow, his limbs heavy, but he kept moving and mentally urging it to wear off already.

Takun looks up and sees his savior. Whoever the hell you are, thanks, he thinks to himself. The guards have his attention on the boy who saved him. One of them shot a bullet, but it stopped in mid-air. He has similar powers to mine, Takun notes. He then tries to get up, but his knee is too messed up for him to stand up on it. He lays down on the floor, and raises his hands. The prison gate begins to raise up slightly. He begins to inch under the gate. But then, a guard grabs his leg, and pulls him back into the courtyard. Takun tries to retaliate, but he passes out from over use of his power. The guard drags him back into the prison, and lays him on the floor.

As she continued on listening, Jalo had begun to realize that something big was going on. "... and I'm not there to see it," she thought out loud. She took a peek outside of her cell. If anything, it was exactly like a ghost town. There wasn't a soul in site.

It didn't really matter to her anymore. She sat back down on her bed and picked up one of the newspaper scraps on the ground and stared at the letters and pictures on it.

Aaron looked at her... scanning over her... he'd never been this close to someone before, and it was a fairly new experience...

He caught himself staring, and so he closed his eyes and turned away...

"So... uh, whats your name?" he asked, trying and utterly failing at making conversation.

But, before he could get an answer out of her, another dozen guards charged up the hallway and aimed there guns...

"Freeze!" said the one in the middle, who appeared to be the head warden... for he wore a badge stating:

"Head Warden".

Candle had been doing well so far by just charging into the guards who had been standing in her way. She was shot in the ear once, but had to keep on going. No matter how much she wanted to stop, she couldn't. Her body was starting to feel week... with the state she was in, that was no way she could possibly make it to the exit!

The clumsy mutant had heard some footsteps near by. Another guard? More than one guard? There was only one way to find out... She ran forward, her arms still out in front of here. Who was it?

((Alright people, slow down. Take a breather here, things are happening way to fast... I said once... pretty sure twice that not everyone is supposed to escape yet, and that no one is yet to step foot outside. Before you make your character do something big, confront either me or Hinako and we'll accept/deny it.

Don't make your character walk out the front door and into the world yet... because that totally ruins what we have in mind, and some of you, dont even walk out your cells until you get the go-no go.

Rosie, you're good.

Ventus, check.

Baylaust and Soraking, I told you through chat.... got it memorized?

Just slow down, and let more then one person post before you go again... it makes things cluttered and hard to follow.

Kaithanksbai))

Damn it, I didn't make it. Why didn't I make it?!. Takun wakes up, his body is shaking. The blood from his knee wound has made a generous puddle on the floor. Takun struggles to his feet, but he gets up. His eyes are a blood red. He begins to limp towards the cells, not the exits. I'm going to need help to do this, he reasons. He finds the stairs, but can't climb them because of his injury. "Screw this." He throws his hands up, and a piece of the floor above him crashes down. He begins to float to the hole.

"Dahl--" she started to answered but cut off when she the guards.

She stopped running and turned around, ready to run the other way.

No way she was going back in that cell. Now that she was out, she was determined to get free, even if she did fear what was out there.

I mean... it couldn't be worse than in here.

She would find away to fight off anyone who stood in her way. She had to.

((Not to mention that some people aren't even here yet... and we need to wait for them))

Aaron charged foward... shoulder rushing the Warden into the wall, all the while holding the other back...

He called back to the girl...

"You do have powers? right?!!!!?" he screamed... fighting the warden.

"Because now would be a great time to use them!" >8[

He got socked in the face by the brutish guard... all the others fell to the floor as Aaron was temporarily unable to keep his hold on them.

Pat ran back into the prison, hoping to help Takun, but then at least 50 guards appeared out of nowhere. Pat tried to run in one direction, but they cut him off. Before he could even turn around, the other routes were blocked too. Oh no. oh no no no no no. I can't pause this many people at one time! Someone, help... please... Pat saw as the guards formed a circle around him, all of their guns pointed at his head. "Please.... someone..."

Takun flies through the hole, and sees the guards preparing to kill Patrick. I owe him. Takun closes his eyes, and one of the bars on the cells snap. The guards turn around, and the bar hurls towards the guards, impaling them. Takun gives a brief grin and then says to Patrick, "Can you help me here?"

"Uhh..."Dahlia tried to think of what she could do. All she really knew was...

Perfect! she thought.

A guard walked up to her, smirking, unafraid of her. He heard from everyone else that she really couldn't do anything, much less hurt anything.

"Why don't you go to your cage you freak?" he sneered.

Dahlia scowled.

She tried to focus. She could do this. She knew she could.

Come on...

She felt her skin become frigid. Frost. She was practically crystal!

"What the--?"

And in a matter of seconds, as the guard was just inches away from the girl, he was encassed in solid ice.

Pat looked at Takun, and smiled. I guess that makes us even, then. Pat nodded, and walked over to Takun. "Sure, anything that you need help with, you can count on me. Oh, you can call me Patrick, by the way." At least this guy isn't as savage as the guy above sounded like. "So, do you happen to have a name?" This is where people usually turn their heads and walk away from me. Goodie.

Running carelessly. What a good feeling it was. It wasn't like anyone could stop her... at least that's how she felt it. Candle loved to run like this, even though it did eat up a lot of her energy. She felt someone in her way. Candle crashed into the being at the cost of her own to feet becoming unbalanced and falling right on top of it. This could be the end of her! The guards would grab her and... she winced at the very thought. Her feet were tangled with the mans as she tried to pick herself up. "Well that's just great..." She moaned, "Who are you?!"

Takun's eyes change back to gray, and he says, "Takun." He lifts himself onto his feet, and leans back against the wall. "I'm sure nobody here has heard of me. I've been in solitary confinement for a while now." Takun shifts to a more comfortable position on the wall. "It's not too bad. Being away from people helps me maintain my power." He looks to his right and sees guards heading towards the two of them. "I seriously need to get out of here", he sighs.

Pat saw a few guards coming, and casually paused them. "Well, I was never a threat to anyone. Not much you can do to hurt people with the power to control time. I've never been any trouble to anyone here, but no one wants anything to do with me. Maybe it's because I'm too nice, too weak, too smart, or something. Since no one would notice me, I decided to pretty much seclude myself in that cell. This is the first time I've been out of the cell since I was 10." Pat looked at the chaos surrounding him. "Fitting that it would be in a breakout."
