Hello people of KH13, how are you today? :)I just got Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright, and Fire Emblem Awakening! :DAs first, I am so happy that we finally managed to get PLvsPW overseas after years of waiting and here it is on my hands! :)Second, I want to start with one of Professor Layton games but not sure which to start. I've played Curious Village and Diabolical Box years ago and I am not sure if I remember the story. As for Unwound Future and Last Specter, in the other hand,  I didn't manage to play them yet and sadly I couldn't find Miracle Mask.

So do you guys suggest that I start Azran Legacy or should I wait until I get to play the previous games? If so, then does PLvsPW also need to wait until I play the previous games?Lastly, any suggestions for any of the three games before I start playing them? and thanks for reading and helping

To the best of my knowledge, Azran ties two story lines together. That of CV/DB/UW. Then, there is are three others, whose names I can't all remember. However, I think you can play Azran without knowing about the second story line. However, the PWvsPL game is non-canon to both storylines, I think, so you can play it without having to wait.

 

Edit: To clear up what I said, the games go, in story order, Last Specter, Miracle Mask (Which I'm playing right now myself.) and Azran legacy, Curious Village, Diabolical Box, and Unwound Future. Azran ties them all together.

Sorry, I'm a huge Professor Layton fan- Anyway, I can't stress that enough, it's the final game of the prequel trilogy for Professor Layton; the past two games and movie have been building up Descole and Targent for it (if you don't even know who Descole or what Targent is you seriously shouldn't be playing it)

 

As my good friend Nortanort pointed out, the Professor Layton/Pheonix Wright game isn't canon so by all means play that whenever you want- Fire Emblem Awakening, on the other hand, is one of the best games on the 3DS- and that's coming from someone who doesn't typically enjoy strategy games

 

If I were you I would alternate between playing Awakening and Vs. Pheonix Wright, then play or watch the other games before tackling Azran Legacy

Oh, yeah, the movie. Although it's told in flashback form, right? Anyway, yeah, it's best to play Last Specter and Miracle Mask first, then Azran.
