what is a good size psp memory chip for birth by sleep

 

i have a 1 gb chip so is it enough?

 

and i hear there are different types of installation so could someone please explain that to me?

trust me you have enough and dont sweat it about instalations they just speed up loading times and spare your battery, its convenient but not essential

You mean Data Install. There are 3 versions of this: 200, 400, and 600 MB. Your loading time will decrease depending on which version you install. Of course, you don't have to do this; it's entirely optional.

Dont sweat it you should get a 2gb if you want to do data install but thats optional i would at least get a 2 so this way you have at least a little increse in loading time :)

Well data install doesn't really help much. It data installed my bbs on the highest option. And it took like an hour. But the load time still took kinda long. But its up to you. And yeah u have enough. Plus if u don't, you can copy the saved data to your computer so if you ever need to delete it for another game, its ok cause you'll still have your bbs files on the computer. Or u can do this with any saved data.
