Here's another vid, featuring the cutscene after the Aqua+Mickey VS Unversed battle. Notice the higher poly Kairi here, who no longer has what I call a "sticky face" like in the Japanese version.

The dialogue is clearer as well.

So this not only explains why Kairi landed on DI (even though we already knew why), but also adds another reason why her heart went into Sora in KH1.
